hindy111 still makes a very valid point. A coach like Wayne or Bellamy would have got the best out of Hayne.
According to the 2021 Australian Census, the religious affiliations of Australians were as follows:
It's important to note that the "No Religion" category includes individuals who identify as atheist, agnostic, or have no specific religious affiliation. This category has seen significant growth, increasing from 30.1% in 2016 to 38.9% in 2021.
- Christianity: 43.9%
- Catholic: 20.0%
- Anglican: 9.8%
- No Religion: 38.9%
- Islam: 3.2%
- Hinduism: 2.7%
- Buddhism: 2.4%
- Sikhism: 0.8%
- Judaism: 0.4%
- Other Religions: 0.8%
- Not Stated or Unclear: 1.0%
Conversely, the proportion of Australians identifying as Christian has decreased from 52.1% in 2016 to 43.9% in 2021.
Other religions have experienced growth, though they still represent a smaller segment of the population. For instance, Hinduism increased by 55.3% to 2.7% of the population, and Islam grew to 3.2%.
These trends reflect Australia's increasing religious diversity and a shift towards secularism.
Next census in 2026, it is statistically likely that "No Religion" will surpass all others as the larger segment.

According to this article his dad (Manoa) left when Jarryd was 6 months old, and then he had an alcoholic step-father.
So you could be on the money - but at some point (in adulthood) personal responsibility kicks in and Hayne shouldn't have needed a role model after say 2014 to keep him out of trouble.

Fatherhood, fame and Jarryd Hayne’s ‘plummet into ignominy’
On the field, Hayne ran with the gods. Off it, as he grew up, he had no role model to teach him how to be a good man.www.smh.com.au

I have to agree there. Great President. All thanks to Jimmy Carter... America's version of Gough Whitlam.
The thing those 2 coaches would have done best is to keep him focused on footy. If he made that the most important thing in life he probably wouldn't have done a lot of the other shit that derailed him. When I was 20 I was lucky. I had some good tradesmen that gave me good advice. I try and do the same with apprentices.. It's a messed up world. A good coach may of sensed he was troubled and pulled him in line and helped.
How does one rape a comb over? You mean The Combover rapist
Hardly. ChatGPT is garbage. Only good for one thing. Thanks chat gpt
The 'off season' is coming to a head.Hardly. ChatGPT is garbage. Only good for one thing.
There once was a poster, JokerEel,
Whose “likes” had a certain appeal.
He’d stir up the left,
Then grin at the heft,
Of the outrage he’d managed to steal!
How does one rape a comb over?
I dunno, mate. The sample size isn't big enough to make a balanced judgement.Reality however is you brain is like a sponge and majority of what you learn is in the first 5-6yrs. That will become your default mode when you hit fight or flight mode. Yeah you can change it but that would take years of work to change your mind set.
Everyone has their own personal demons and the majority don't surface untill your an adult.
The whole idea of being happy is twisted. Chasing money, goals etc. It's all false. The answer is being able to live with yourself.
Is Hayne able to? I hope he has conquered his demons. If I was a betting man of say he is still working on it
He gets around Parra with the family, but his boys aren’t there any longer and notwithstanding his innocence, people don’t like him.I dunno, mate. The sample size isn't big enough to make a balanced judgement.
