That presser was a shocker. Reporters grilled him on accountability and he said that everything he does is fully transparent and he will post everything blow by blow on X. “But it’s been shown that you post and re-post lies” yes, he said, sometimes the posts will be shown to be wrong and that’s where everyone can let us know about it.

Paraphrasing of course.

He was then grilled on his conflicts of interest about the billions he gets in gov contracts for Space X and he basically said, well I don’t sign those contracts, someone at the company does.

Meanwhile, on 10 Feb 25 Space X was awarded a further $35/40m.

So shutting down their version of Dept of Fair Trading / APRA is fine because we need to save money.
