What you are not seeing are failing to acknowledge is that the government have on more than one occasion, a) deferred fair work hearings b) using procedural tactics in court to make hearings protracted and exacerbate tensions c) using public inconvenience as leverage for wages and working condition negotiations and d) withholding offers until the very last minute which causes uncertainty around industrial action and again uses public inconvenience as leverage.

If you want me to frame it differently, one parent is involving the kids in marital arguments to make the other side look bad.

I get that most will poo poo this, but its true.

In a survey conducted last month of 1,000 Australians by Talbot Mills Research, 49 per cent of those questioned disapproved of the job Trump was doing as US president. Interestingly, the biggest group was 34 per cent, who said they strongly disapproved of the job he was doing.

By contrast, only 16 per cent strongly approved of the job he was doing and 25 per cent said they somewhat approved. Put together though, it is higher than you'd expect. That means 41 per cent of Australians think Trump is doing a good job.

Asked how strongly they approved or disapproved of the United States acquiring Greenland, expansionism wasn't on trend in Australia, with only 18 per cent in support and a staggering 56 per cent disapproving.

Support for Trump and the US annexation of Greenland was strongest with young men.

In fact, that's the most consistent theme in all the data; younger men like Trump and are more sympathetic to his strongman expansionist tendencies.

67% of households were home owners..
32% of households were home owners without a mortgage
35% of households were home owners with a mortgage

In 2022, around 31% of Australian households, or 2.9 million households, were renters.

Is a rate cut helping the renters? People who live at home?

Fine for me btw as I can put more money on my home loan.

The Australian economy for the past few decades has been built on ever increasing housing prices. Renters will only matter if they become 50.1% of voters
The boomers that own their home out right will be happy to see their portfolio go up with lower rates and more money funnelling into the market
