As previously stated, the latter. People are generally ignorant - that's why they can be so easily fooled by conveniently edited news snippets and Trump's social media bytes, instead of bothering to watch the whole thing without extra commentary and decide for themselves who was humiliated.

And if you’re making that claim, are you assuming you are one of the wise ones?

I'm assuming I'm smarter than the average bear... but I also acknowledge I've benefitted from privilege via socio-economic advantages that many others (the majority) haven't been afforded. And personally I'm dead keen for equality so that those advantages are spread much wider into the future.

I just had a very filling and delicious Malaysian meal... As we know, Malaysia is a (gasp!) Islamic country - but I'm just thankful to the immigrants and refugees from Malaysia who've chosen to come and contribute to our country, and without whom we couldn't enjoy such cultural food delights.

(And yes Venge, I have been there - and even travelled through I think six states of Malaysia, without issue with the religion or the people.)

I guess there's all sorts of Islam across a country like Malaysia, just like there's all sorts of Christianity in a country like Australia - accepting and tolerant or the more fearful and exclusionary kind.

I'm not much of a CBD-visitor these days, but will keep the Malaya in mind if I'm staying down there... assuming they're moving somewhere within the city.
