An absolute demolition job. Libs and Dutton had an absolute nightmare of a campaign. It’ll long be studied I’d say, in what not to do.

He went in as Trump Lite and get an answer from the Australian public that hasn’t been seen too often.

Hopefully sees an end to gutter politics on things like immigrants for a while. Onward and upward.

Greens seemed to be going backwards as well?
Your analysis doesn’t seem correct. If you look at the Qld seats of Brisbane, Ryan and Griffith, those seats are/were held by the Greens. Labor have picked up approx 5% simply because the liberals have lost 5%. The greens vote is pretty much the same as last time.

Currently there is a -0.07 swing away from the greens nationally.

Similar overall vote numbers, but a drop in sitting members.

So it's correct as they have lost 2 seats as well as a negative swing.

I don't know how to sum it up in words... but my faith is Australia is massively restored.

Didn't fall for divisive mini-Trump Dutton and his fake outrage on many "issues".
Didn't lurch further right to Pauline's Nation or Clive's Trumpet and their nonsense.
Didn't divert any further votes to the Greens or Teals, who rather than being a party of government just play around on the edges.

Australia and the last three years haven't been perfect... but it's clear there's only one side / party that our population overwhelmingly trusts, to keep steering the ship forward for the benefit of all of us. Labor - under Albo or any successor, is still a miles better option for the benefit of everyone, not just the wealthy Ginas and others pulling the Coalition strings.

The LNP rabble are now decimated, across the country at federal and state levels. Angus Taylor is an unintelligent risk, Sussan Ley is ineffective, Jacinta Price is a delusional hard right nutcase - their only hope to start to rebuild over the next six years might be moderate Andrew Hastie.

Mate I'll tell you no one gives a f**k. I think we are all happy it's over and can get them of our screens.

That first line is just weird as well as well.

Thats all fair. The LNP are a rabble right now. They barely have any seats left in capital cities.

And why not leave this here to mark this historic decision by the Australian people - the full 22min acceptance speech in all its glory. The shining positive vision for our country spelt out from around 10mins onwards....

Recommended viewing for those who didn't engage, or just swallowed the Sky News and New Ltd sound bites during the campaign.

You're here commenting in a Current Affairs and Politics thread... that indicates some f**ks are given?

Not really. An increased majority, means I'm glad people are increasingly not being fooled by negative campaigning and conservative sound bytes and slogans etc, as they seemed to have been at times in the past.
