I don’t think he is trying. He’s just looking for a quick symbolic victory. It’s all staged - big on talk and bravado, less on genuine negotiation between two impacted parties.

Putin is outsmarting him and he will inevitably throw Ukraine under the bus. Ultimately, he’d be better off leaving it alone, but he needs a distraction from all of the domestic problems he is facing.

Left to themselves, the war has continued on.

The whole f**king world is staged. Trump is just a distraction for those who are actualy controlling things.
They are working on diseases that will make us allergic to meat and dairy.

Almost 100% certain one of the first thing he said he would do was end the war in Ukraine. That was well before the Epstein list disappeared.
