No doubt the professional experts at the mental health institution, they have to make a call and I think there is a mental health tribunal as well.
But realistically people are going to slip through the net.
I’m not sure of the figures, but I reckon it’s more than likely than the overwhelming number of folk released, they rejoin society on an Ok basis.
And maybe the are all monitored etc.
But a 100% success rate would be very hard to achieve. I truly wish it was so.
There will be the usual flurry of activity from stakeholders and so forth till it reaches those choke points.
I live near that lady who was beheaded by her unwell daughter. The lady’s other daughter had a lot to say about the system.
She spoke really well and has my full support.
The beheading daughter used to scare shoppers. And these days we are more attuned and hopefully caring about these folk, but she would act up and people would avoid her.
The mum was a legend and did her level best for her daughter…anyway.
Hopefully never forgotten.
