My insurance goes up about $80+ a year. May not seem a lot but thats 8% compounding and on 4 or 5 policies. Another $400-$500 a year. It's ridiculous.

Government can't do anything about this they don't make policies or anything...

Btw Albo and his crew are trying to push through their next hush hush bill... Scomo Mk2

Why not? The recently re-elected government's got things more under control than the fractured former-Coalition policy-free zone non-opposition.

They aren't tracking well... How was that saving of $250+ on electrical bills... Then blamed the people that made the model 😂

Doing well I guess not

Construction costs have gone up so mucu because of all the safety rules. Whilst many might be good its become over the top.

Construction cost going up quality going down Red tape has increased which has increased building times even though Albo said they were reducing it....

Huh? My electrical bills have been manageable... I actually saved more last year than the year before, despite the hysterics about the supposed "cost of living crisis".

Their crazy and unachievable renewables electricity policy, it’s failed at about every other country and they have pulled back from their reliance and have reintroduced gas and HELE coal generation . Obviously not China, India or USa the worlds biggest emitters.
I won’t go into how investment cost leads gains or how government spend follows private investment because I reckon you don’t agree that’s how it works.
That policy feeds through to everything, and perhaps tell the truth on the real cost including transmission updates needed ( apparently in th billions and not included in costings)
I think you have this the wrong way around. ALP costed $20b for new transmission lines for their renewables because hey they want to spend more apparently. It was the coalition who didn’t include costs for transmission upgrades because they weren’t adding renewables, but forgot about their new nuclear and coal plants that apparently don’t require transmission.
Scale back the increase in immigration which fuels home demand, and reduce public service which has ballooned , and really target the NDIS which is out of control.
I agree immigration could be scaled back. Looking at probably a short term hit to productivity though, which will push out retirement age.

What about NDIS are you targetting? Because for me there is a right answer. And to a degree I’d accept the argument that it relates to immigration somewhat

I think that leasing the Port of Darwin, whilst economically smart, was geopolitically stupid.
I don’t even think it was economically smart. It was a sugar hit at the price of a good grade asset that’s highly unlikely to depreciate for 99 YEARS. There’s very little you can turn the proceeds over that’s going to give a like for like asset.

Well then it was dumb on both counts.

The biggest impact on construction costs is supply chain issues and unions demanding stupid money for f**ktards to f**k around and take forever to build something. Safety rules, whilst annoying aren’t impeding productivity in the same way.

This is my experience on mega projects, might be different on smaller ones.

In general works productivity is slower now then 20yrs ago. What is expected to get done in 8hrs is like half. It's good for me personally.

😂 Nice one Scomo I mean Albo
A Gov that wants to do shit and not have to disclose it to anyone. I think I've heard this story before. Shock horror.
I thought there would be something far left appearing on the political horizon of this country in the not too distant future. Maybe the left, who according to some are the new centre are going even further left than they traditionally were .
I know 1 little sick puppy on here who'll be delighted with that.

Leftie wankers don't care about the country they just care that their side is in government the place could be burning down around them and they would be still posting about the opposition...

Doing shit and not having to disclose it to anyone sounds like it's out of the playbook of modern governments that align to the conservative right, cf Epstein files, Scomo's 5 secret ministries etc... So maybe the old left/new centre are heading (further) to the right?

Are you seriously using examples of things that are known and being disclosed to support your side?
You make the mistake of thinking I'm a righty. I am a proud Anarchist.
I already explained to you that whilst not heading right philosophically, the left (according to you and Turnbull) are now centre.
You fail to realise what politics looks like if the ALP take 1 more step to the right (in direction only).
Done any research on Uncy Clause yet? Didn't think so.
