Anyway inflation rates have gone up and today with have an increase in the interest rates.. (Such an archaic solution)

Thought I would ask the Google how the rest of the world is going with inflation as I was of the understanding that the whole world was in the same boat...

Key Regional Inflation Trends (Early 2026):
  • Australia: Inflation remains high, reaching 3.8% in late 2025, exceeding forecasts.
  • United States: Inflation has been easing, with reports showing rates around 2.71% in early 2026.
  • Europe: Inflation shows signs of cooling in some nations, with Germany seeing a slight rise in January 2026 while others, like Portugal, see declines.

  • Emerging Economies: Extremely high inflation persists in places like Venezuela, which is projected to have very high rates in 2026.
  • Deflation: Some regions, including China and Fiji, have experienced deflation in 2025.

Experts say NDIS childcare and military spending
As @Delboy hasn’t answered I agree spend on NDIS and probably childcare as well needs to be cut. But the cut I think is from the inefficiency of them. Actually pretty much all government departments. Could even just leave spend the same but spend it on people who aren’t dopes or stealing living.
And as for military spending, do we think a liberal government, especially if it were run by Dutton would spend more or less? Are the figures including or post the French sub/AUKUS debacle?

Less. Labor love defense and its one thing I like about them. They are prepared to spend for wars/defense

Always starts with 1 not sure why we care about Mark Latham is he in ON?

Wonder how much Gina is putting into Ronalds One Nation
Again, they are sitting for single senate seats in state elections. Who cares ? When Latham was PHON senator in NSW he was just hot air.

Anyway, the track record with every person who joins PHON is that they always get the shits with the idiocy of Hanson and walk out.

Go ask Craig Kelly. She was too crazy for him ! Let that sink in.

Wasn't so hard was it?

Why would it be "hard"? He's been weak on Palestine bar recognition. I've expressed this a multitude of times.

Is ethnic cleansing the right terminology though?
Are Palestinians in their own country, ethnics?

, Ethnics as you use it there is slang, ethnic cleansing is not about "ethnics"(sl), it's the targeted removal of an ethnicity from an area.

Still, it could be wrong as plenty of international organisations and agencies have labelled it genocide, so hence the use of both.

Interest rates up again.

Rates go down due to Dr Jim (wtf is the go with Jim's) and the Labor party.
Rates go up Dr Jim not my fault we haven't continued to spend like crazy for the past year...

It's the past governments fault we haven't been in charge for 4-5 years.......
