Sad -- and before anyone makes a comment on "the economy" BG was bought by Private Equity firm Gordon Bros end 2025. The are a known retail vulture finance group.

They buy companies that are going average, however have assets, run them to the ground and then usually strip the assets. They are essentially first mortgagee and that means they now have full say in what happens. This impacts all Franchisees.

This was no accident. A playbook. If you are interested, there have been books written on how Gordon Bros took down Toys R Us globally and made bank.

Could have called themselves ‘BBQs occasionally’ and still did alright.

I would say that Grace Lame's chant was bad in that it is inciting violence against the jewish people - she is a bit crazy and seems to think she is above the law. There should be a discussion about how bad that is and what should be done about her. There should be an investigation into her. She should be impeached.

I think there should be a road rule that push bikes using the road need to have a rear view mirror. I keep noticing that bike riders often have no idea that you (a car) are there behind the,. It would only upset the people who ride on the road for sport/exercise but I am fine with that because safety comes first.

I think there should be a road rule that push bikes using the road need to have a rear view mirror. I keep noticing that bike riders often have no idea that you (a car) are there behind the,. It would only upset the people who ride on the road for sport/exercise but I am fine with that because safety comes first.

Most cyclists have lights (that detects the car) and a computer that tells them a car is coming up from behind them.

I am all for free speech and what not but post the terrorist act in December on the Jewish people, you would think that these chants could be removed from the protests. Yes most people wouldn't take it as attack the Jewish popultation as it's a chant about resistance..

Anyway, I have stalked him on twitter ever since she started with him way back and can report that he has gone from a John Howard "semi progressive moderate conservative", to a Tony Abbott "shifted right with strong religious leanings conservative" to Peter Dutton "immigration is the reason it's raining today" to 2026 ......... aaaaand he's retweeting Pauline Hanson.

It makes me wonder when these people say "we haven't had a great leader since John Howard" yet it appears that they don't actually share his values from circa 1996 anymore.

I think ideally to get a “good” Liberal, they need to lean way back more to the “Libs are better with money” (and they actually need to start being again) from Howard/Costello.
I think if they became the purely economics party they’d be right back in with the moderates

ON has poor infrastructure and generally only attracts poor candidates....they aren't a really threat...

The best thing for the LNP is to move to the centre and stop using the "Sky after dark" culture war talking points, not further right to ON....and focus on the core conservative values...with actual policy / talking points about improving productivity/cost of living/housing/nation security........

When you add the Libs, the Nats and Pauline's mob together, they're still a mighty small number - essentially all minor parties of little relevance.

In my crystal ball, the only way Labor ever gets challenged federally in the future will be when the "good" Libs (moderates) join with the Teals to try and take up the centre ground - where elections are won - leaving the "bad" Libs and Nats to veer further right and join with One Nation in irrelevence and oblivion.
