Hey, everyone!

Fellow S.E QLD Sharkies fans (and any other lurkers) - stay safe!

After going through Cyclone Pam (Cat. 5) in Vanuatu, as well as being married to a North Queensland girl, we’re not too stressed.

But there are people who are genuinely concerned - so here’s hoping it ends being a bit of a strong breeze and lots of rain…

Stay safe all - relatives in Brisbane at this stage fairly relaxed (for some unknown reason) then again, they’ve been here before
It’s because the last actual cyclone to hit Brissie was 1974 - 50 years ago (or 51, just double check with Quigs)…

My sis is right on the lower half of the impact zone in the tweed.
First experience, only just moved up there from the shire.
She's a bit stressed given she lives in a smallish cabin style granny flat.

Hopefully it is all ok.

Hope it all goes well for everyone. If you have any sort of water damage or flooding - get it looked into asap. We flooded in the past at an old house and it caused a ton of health problems for the family. I had never been through a flood before so thought just clean it up and dry it out but I had no idea of the damage it can cause.

When is it supposed to hit?

It was supposed to be this afternoon, but looking like tomorrow now...

Yeah stay safe heathens. We are 750k north of the landing zone.

If I may give a little hint to anyone unfortunate enough to get some property damage. Grab a nearby fallen branch and place it over or near the damaged area and take a photo.

Last time a cyclone came through my area and it actually did some damage to 'me' tora bora home the insurance bloke was a real bastard. Being an old place he wouldn't accept more than half my claims saying the place is too old and it was old damage.

He also said, "Next time get fallen branches and put them on your decking and near cracked windows and you won't have a problem with claims.

They (insurance bastards) are the lowest of lows

I am in direct path, but confident will be ok, it has taken so long.
Albo has flown up to see it, why we need more politicians here who knows why.
He will probably call an election on weekend while he is here

We live just north of Toowoomba. Shelves are bare. Schools suspended for two days. People are losing their minds. We'll cop wind and rain, but I'm not sure that people will need 300 rolls of toilet paper to get through the next 4 days.

The toilet paper can be used for a kite.
Or it will be on the black market
