Comrades there has been a very unwanted change to match day plans here. My old mate is currently in Brissie Hospital with ongoing ticker problems. I just phoned him a couple of hours ago.
He has had circulation problems for years and they have been battling for zonks to save his legs. Old mate has been in a lot of pain, more than normal lately and went to see his specialist this week. The Doc took one look at his feet and sent him straight to Brisbane for more treatment and to get a cardio check up first. The bugger had had a triple bypass years ago and when they did the tests they discovered he is 90% blocked in another part of the heart.
He goes under the knife next Wednesday. He told me that he had a visit from the weekend Specialist Doc earlier today and the bloke told old mate that it was his job to keep him alive till Monday. Dickie the Old Mate just told the Doc to sit in the f**king chair at the end of his bed and not leave the room.
He is in great spirits, got Fox in his room and although he wont be up for the run on team he will be watching and cheering. True story.. He told me that I know where the Monte's are and to go and help myself.
