But the way Sherwin is playing, I'd say it will probably be a 2 horse race between Noddy and Gower for the Blues number 7.

Yeah that's what I thought when I saw the shot of him and his family in the rooms at the end. He's about 30 now isn't he? And a cruciate is at least 1/2 a season isn't it? It's going to be hard for him to come back psychologically from this

He's one of those players that will be talked about for years after he retires, which hopefully will not be for a few years yet. I enjoy watching him. He tackles like an extra forward and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and single handedly he has changed the way a lot of other players kick in general play.

That's the end of Newcastle. I can't see Gould picking Noddy even though he is obviously the man for the job. The city - country game takes on a whole lot more interest now though. If Kimmorley and Hill play together in the halves they might just play themselves straight in. There are alot of candidates for the 7 jumper. The Finch call isn't that ridiculous you know. Gould will probably want him, which is ridiculous. There could be alot of controversy over selections this year I think.
