Until you know what was said & not ust what was written in police reports & media, you are speculating. Perhaps that is why they will continue to be friends.

Perhaps.

But I was just talking about shire folk Reefy.

The place where I am from.

Shire folk are tough when we need to be, but we are also smart, peaceful and most of all, loyal to our mates.

I'm from the shire, I'm soft, stupid, aggressive and I hate my mates. Does that shoot that theory down??

I like my footballers as aggressive and grubby as they can be. Being all nice, loyal and soft has won us f**k all. Time for some mongrel pricks to step in and grab us a premiership.

Son ....... Son ........ You've finally come home. We've missed you so munch.

As soon as I read your comments I knew it was you. Our long lost missing son.

Please forgive your mother and I. We didn't mean to leave you on those hospital steps all those years ago. You must forgive us both. Times were tough and jobs were scarce.

You think just like your old mum. You must be one of us.

But where did you get the monika Manny, we christened you Gough Neville.

Cheers

After that effort, yep, I concede.

Finally, I am owned!

It wasnt a dumb decision, if true, it was a school-boy version of a "cover-up" that not even his good mate would wear.

Allegedly, he told the cops his mate did it before he even asked his mate for his OK. Even amongst the criminal classes, thats a no-no.

I thought the Sharks were decent tradesmen-like club, rough and tumble sure, but with a long and strong commitment to the integrity of the game, their strident supporters and the wider community.

The Sorenson boys, E.T, Sludge, Peach...All glamorous guys with a bit of pig in them. All beloved by the game.

If Bird is convicted and the club keeps him on, then all of that dissolves and you just become another selfish bunch of hustlers.

It would be far worse than harold holts continued dissapearance.

Bird is not of our homeland my shire brethren.

Shire folk are tough when we need to be, but we are also smart, peaceful and most of all, loyal to our mates.
wtf ?

you are not one of us.

I think Dave was one of the last rats that escaped off the Taren Point Punt before they opened the Bridge.

Shame he didn't lay his roots on the San Souci side of the waterway.

But as my old coach used to say, "You've sometimes have got to take the good with the bad"

Pure gold dave, honour amongst criminals

Putting someone in to the cops for a crime you committed is seen as a crime as far as the "criminal code" is concerned cherz.

Its very dangerous and the consequences can be very serious and may involve:

a) injury
b) death
c) both of the above
d) damage to property
e) home invasion etc

If you dont believe me, ask your friendly neighbourhood bikie!

Some people operate beyond the law. That can be a tough life for them as well.

Best not to get mixed up this business if you can.

Keep clear of bikies and usually, they are likely to keep clear of you.

And whatever you do, steer clear of illegal mind-frying drugs.

Yes I hail from the shire. Thats probably the only reason why I am (barely) tolerated here. I only post on a few forums which I have an affinity with and those evil roosters.

But when I lived in the shire we were battlers like everyone else.

Mum quit work to care for us kids and she used to make my sisters dresses according to designs that used to feature in womens magazines.

Six in the family at Yowie bay, after I was born, dad splashed out and bought brand new sky-blue Ford Cortina. Six of us would pile in for a picnic trip to the beach. Mowers, clear skys, young families being kind and taking care of each other.

The shire-life style of the 1960's and 1970's, a kinder more gentler world. I miss it.

lol gunna...cheers.

"The best we could do was suck on a piece of damp cloth"

Its true that a Ford Cortina in those days was probably the equivalent of a flash new Mazda or Subaru today, definately more expensive in terms of the average wage.

And hand-made clothes were pretty normal. Lots of those skills have dissapeared. People are too busy to even think of making anything themselves today except for babies.

In my childhood days, China didnt produce anything other than bicycles, communists and lots more babies.

Social history on LU!
