Penrith just do everything so basic so well. Ball handling, no errors, every player is good at catching and passing, all the little not so flashy things. Every player that comes into their team is really good at. Add to that their defence, and it’s any wonder they’re so good

The NRL is like the WWE is some regard, the WWE will have a wrestler and push him to the moon, NRL it's the dogs, will give them every chance to succeed.
Then you have wrestler or a team gets over with the fans but if they are not want the WWE or NRL want, the going is a lot tougher for them.
WWE is entertainment, the NRL was a sport they are now a lot closer together

I agree, and look what happened after.
Only 3 teams won the Premiership until last year.
For that reason I think you can add 2025 to your list, especially after the no-suspension-headbutt that took place for the Clive Churchill winner.
Edit: and the record ratings having the Brisbane team win it brings, especially in the Broadcast Rights year

i barely watched both games last night, where normally I would plant myself in front of the TV and watch the game with my wife, the game these days is contrived results are determined by the amount of six agains awarded, is there any other game that is influenced so much by the ref.? V landys needs to go.

Yes. The game needed a lift from memory. A 40 year drought break for a foundation club, a first time winner in a game for the ages and then the unthinkable… yeah sure.
