If you are the Bulldog’s brain trust you need to be worried that the squad has improved markedly since last year, but the performances look worse than they did at the back-end of last year…. Is T-Baz the man to mould the quality cattle they will have next year?
Gus will be the first to tell you: you can buy success but its much more likely you'll buy failure. They've got some good cattle but something isn't right.

The only NRL quality player in the Dragon"s spine is Ben Hunt (lol).

Good thing they gave Griffin that extension.
Hook without a superstar squad and juniors to toss his 'gameplans' out the window really hasn't got much aside from having a fit roster.

Hook brought in a lot of this current squad too. Bird. Suli. Molo. Mbye.. McCullough. Woods. Burgess.

So he has largely got a squad he wanted and not completely inherited.

The bloke can't coach and I hate St Merge so it's perfect

The Kennel is good for a few lols tonight.
Oh gosh yes.

The dogs (God bless them) have spent their money in the wrong areas. Fox is going to catch cold on the end of a very sad backline.

Burtin needs and organising half, and he just needs to do what he's good at run.

No high work rate forwards. Kiks isn't going to fix that either. He's an impact player. Doesn't have a big enough motor to be anything else.

No hooker.

No high work rate fullback either.

Their cap is going to be out of whack with 'flashy' players. But Barrett and to a lesser extent Gus forgot to build a solid foundation.

They've blown their cap on luxury players with none of the foundation to let them do their jobs. It's a trainwreck and hilarious.

Bryce Cartwright just threw probably the best flick pass I've ever seen. He can f**k one up, but when he gets it right it pretty special.

He makes Parra a far more dangerous side to defend when inside the oppositions 20. But he did let in a soft try when he had only been on 3 or 4 mins.
I still feel we are a better side with him over Ray Stone. Bryce if can knuckle down is still a very good Nrl player.
Waqa is playing like a beast and gee I like this Penisini kid. Tago is pue brut power and most runs are far more explosive but I feel Penisini has a touch of class about him. A special talent also in his 9th game. Two very exciting kids.

So is it a 4 horse race already? Penrith and Storm the top 2 with Roosters and Eels? I don't see Souths or Manly making up the ground needed. Yes its early but bar injuries I don't see it.
Sharks maybe the next best at no 5 for me.

They will get Mahoney. But at around 700k. I feel Brailey from Sharks is a better talent. Reed has a great kick game but he never runs and drops off tackles. He won't ever be elite in my eyes.

If it was finals right now you'd rather plays Sharks but I feel then the Eels. Keep in mind the Eels have not yet been full strength either.

They can have the NSW Origin team and still not win. Arthur is a hack and hasn't got the skill to win big games
