I saw we were losing some astounding amounts of money- Now it has been refinanced I was under the impression( correct me if I'm wrong) that its all good- at least short term ( next 3-5 years)...

Elias is guaranteeing the club wont go under until the develpoment goes through. He's hasnt turned the club into a profitable organisation. Extra money for the footy club would be years away.

[FONT=&quot]From memory they weren't fines for actually being over the cap.

They were for technical breaches like not declaring payments from sponsors or whatever. They didn't say they were for ‘spending X amount over the cap’.

I also remember a comment from Tim Sheens during the whole KPI saga that it wasn't fair to impose KPIs such as 'make the finals' or 'win this many games' if they weren't prepared to spend the full cap each season.

I think management like to cite cap pressure as a cover for any general financial constraints the club may be experiencing at a particular time.

I find it hard to believe, with the squad we have compared to other sides, that we could be near or over the cap. If we are then heads need to roll, imo

I remember comments about needing to spend money in order to be a top four team, but I don't recall this being linked to the cap... I guess it's open to that interpretation but I read it more about needing to spend the right money on the right players, rather than implying that there was money in the cap coffers going to waste.
