Probably because you unsuccessfully tried to use it as an excuse for Kearney's poor record, all those years ago...?Why do merkins insist on repeating this untruth.

Why do merkins insist on repeating this untruth. Ryles wanted Galvin. He probably wants other players we can't get. Few coaches, if any, have all the players they want. Do you reckon Cleary didn't want to keep Luai and Turuva?
The coach is part of the problem if players choose to sign elsewhere. Are you assuming that the club will actually sign the players he wants and enable the statement, his team. As a club we haven’t signed more than 1 or 2 decent nrl players in any off season under this regime. Hope we do, but when they couldn’t nail a 5/8 whose father and player manager told him to sign with Parra, big ask.

Perth needs to sign 30 players for 2027 too though.Let’s see what happens from 1 Nov when all the players coming off contract at the end of 2026 are free to negotiate. Yes it may be for 2027. That’s how the Dogs acquired most of their elite players. Tigers did it too.
Do you reckon you used this as an excuse for Kearney in the past, but instead claiming that the squad "wouldn't be his own" until year 3 in the job?Ryles wanted Galvin. The average across the NRL would be zero. When a new club comes in it cannibalises the rest of the clubs.Perth needs to sign 30 players for 2027 too though.
How many better players than what we lost did we end up signing the last time a new team entered the competition? This was Dolphins 2023.
They should certainly be judged, but not based on any given game or even full season. You need to look at a significant sample of games. Two seasons is fewer than 50 games. It’s barely enough to judge a player let alone a coach.Do you reckon you used this as an excuse for Kearney in the past, but instead claiming that the squad "wouldn't be his own" until year 3 in the job?
Now you're extending it to coaches never get the squad they want, so they can never be judged.... You should pursue a career apologising for perceived authority in any circumstance, it'd be a perfect fit!
