Our kicking game tonight

Well it was rubbish. Terrbile. Garbage.

There was no smarts in our kicking game what so ever.

We use the wrong kicks all the time.

We did one decent kick all night when we put the bomb up. We tackled the winger and had them under pressure and on the back foot and next tackle we pulled them over the line for repeat set.

We just dont put pressure on the other team with our kicking game.
We give them easy returns. It was very frustrating to watch.
Panthers knew what to do and there kicking game made ours look like a joke.

it's very simple, if you're 5 to 10 metres out put a short grubber in the in goal!
Dont do a chip kick or mini bomb.

If you're 20 to 30 metres out, put the ball up. Bomb them like it was world war 2.
It was wet conditions they would of struggled, force the error, get the ball back.

We hardly got any repeat sets what so ever.
We were lucky we played a team with all the best players out.

I was happy with most other aspects in our game tonight.
But please do something about the kicking.

Our kicking game would of had to be the coaches tactics or plans.
Time to change them!

anyways thank god we won:cool:

We seemed to lose concentration after the first try in the 2nd half as well with schoolboy errors. Good to see Sutton taking on the line and offloading at will and all in all a pretty good performance.

We also never seem to commit ourselves to getting a repeat set of 6 tackles either.
It's like it's a crime to consider anything else other than a try even though that's not guaranteed every time we have the ball.

May have been wiser to fire up the occassional high bomb in the rain....but what was Sandow thinking kicking it away when Best was gagging to cross the line.....need to sharpen it before next week.

Hopefully Broncos Reps will be flat and that full contact "training run" against a very weak Panthers has put the edge on our attacking game. Three blown tries early - should have been a 50 point blowout to us, but nevertheless a good effort overall - Luke should have played 80 as he looked in good form and Tyrrell must play off the bench again....defence much improved which will be necessary up at Suncorp.
