FMD some real big decisions to be made in recruitment and retention at the end of 2021.

I would add Kennedy to resign for another season to cover Moylan, as this year has killed developing any players through Flegg

So, there's 22 players for 2021.

The 2020 off contract list is skinny in context of $$ saved

Bryson Goodwin - OFA
Mawene Hiroti - OFA
Sione Katoa - OMtLRD
William Kennedy - OFA
Cameron King - OFA
Kayleb Milne - OFA
Toby Rudolf - OMtLRD
Scott Sorensen - OFA
Braydon Trindall - OFA

OFA = On Fekk All
OMR = On Mid to Low Range Deal at present - will need an upgrade

Take out Katoa and Rudolf and there should be a big enough save to buy a super dooper, marquee, X Factor dripping, genius like perhaps............................Matt Daffy Duck twinkie boy

We are fekked for years. No relief till all the gilt edged contracts are gone

We need to use that scouting to find a fullback and back up 9.

Having Moyza is a bit of a problem. He is our first choice FB so essentially we cant get another top flight FB.

Maybe someone who can play FB half the time but is also a utility and play bench/hooker. AJ Brimson or one of the storm flogs? Or realistically someone like Tyrone Roberts?

I get the impression that Bomber is of the mind to keep and develop juniors rather than going to market, and with our squad (and what's out there) I hope he sticks to a succession strategy... there's some guys in there who will be solid back-ups going forward and some unpredictable ones. Moylan on the books gives Kennedy a couple years to show something, and I feel he's doing about as well as Val did in his first year without the benefit of starting on the wing. We have a solid squad that's getting used to each other. I'd keep it together at least next season, retain what we can and then decide on the million dollar men during next season.

i feel like the squad isn't missing a whole lot in 2021 other than depth, and we're gaining starters + depth by developing Kennedy, Wilton, Hunt, Rudolph.. if we can manage long-term deals for those guys and the Ramien, Katoa, Mulitalo, Hamlin-Uele, Brails, Nikora, etc core there's a bunch of people who know each other's games and can form the identity of the club once the retirements departures of Dugan, Fifita, Moylan, Johnson, Graham after 2021-2024.

I do like the young guys coming through and still more to come, now if he can do what Flanno did becore we won the comp, make that astute purchase player unwanted elsewhere but improves big time at sharks, i would say Matt Prior prime example

That’s exactly right - if we can keep developing the good juniors, and then add in some proven professionals, that’s the formula. Lewis, Ennis, Prior type pro’s - though there aren’t a massive amount of that type of player out there. Josh Morris was of that ilk....

We should be looking at clubs who are in cap strife where we can offer a solution that suits all parties...

Adam Elliott would be one but not sure we need a backrower
