IMO I dont think TLL should be playing prop , he will be more damaging running out wide, we are well stocked for props with Shillo , Logan , Thommo, Tilse , Miller and Thurling can even have stints there when needed.

I disagree , he has height power and great offload in traffic.
thurling is awesome out a little wider and would be useless as prop.
the only prop we have that has a good offload is Logan and its important to have that in an attacking team.
Tilse Miller I agree should eb in contantion though Shillington Thommo would have to improve plenty to make the starting squad

haha thats laughable
are you for real sir?????maybe i didnt read it correctly but shillington and troy boy should be two of the first props picked for the 17 come round 1.
thompson was awesome last season.
what ive seen of shillington he has the potential to represent state and maybe country.

i respect your opinion though what i seen was TLL running up the middle off loading and making plenty more meters than thommo.
thommo is good but he cant seem to penetrate the line like other forwards.
as for shillington he was in and out of the roosters pack cause of inconsistency and that is his down fall.
thurling is wasted at prop as well as he played awesome out wide off campese.
Logan was our best prop by far so he is number 1.

Yes if TLL stays fit and gets some games under his belt than he will be great up front, yes thurling is a better back rower than prop.
I wouldnt say logan was our best prop last year.2007 he was instrumental.
but his getting on a bit in years,he wont have as much impact in 09 as he did when he first arrived.
Shillington should partner thompson or tilse up front.
Other blokes like TLL,thurling, logan and miller all have better impact from the interchange

It has not been seen with TLL starting at prop and he was great off the bench when fit.
as for logan your right he is getting on but they do say the older you get as a prop the better you get.
Tilse I like but he needs to use his height more often , if he has good hands how easy would it for him to offload as he could put the ball over players reach

Tilse is not the most damaging ball runner around but he's got great hands, makes few errors and does a lot of defensive work. I think he's become a very useful player for us and should be starting prop.

I'd prefer Shillington and Logan to start but we have the biggest front row in the NRL without a doubt.

I just hope Furner learnt a few things off Henry before he left.

Have a look at this as you don't think TLL will be playing prop

Learoyd-Lahrs looking to impress

David Jean, Canberra Times | January 20, 2009 - 11:14AM

''I've got to go flat stick,'' Learoyd-Lahrs said. ''There's a lot of front-rowers here that are really good players, so I don't think I can afford to go half-hearted.

''Hopefully I'll punch out a lot of minutes this weekend. There's a lot of forwards all vying for only a few spots. This is my only game so I've got to go in with that in mind.
''I've got to try to make a statement early and hopefully I leave a good impression.''

I have taken out most of the story as it is irrelavent to my point

Dont get me wrong , I think he'll be damaging whatever position he plays and he's more than likely will be a prop. Running wider he would trample players like Benji and co
I suppose he can do a Mason ( but hell of alot better ) hit it up the middle then run a little wider.

It is well known he prefers to play prop but is very damaging running at smaller men on the fringe as suggested above. Whatever the case, a healthy TLL is essential if we are to progress further than the first weekend in September.

Dont quote me but I think he may have to serve 2 comp games , he's allowed to serve 2 during trials that should leave 2 more.
Happy to be corrected.

yeah your right he serves 1 so that means he is out of the first round, oh well back to the drawing board with my squad Id throw in picker now and have tilse move up front

I don’t think it really matters what the starting line up is. The thing that excites me is having three good front rowers on rotation. The other thing I like is having two specialist dummy halfs. I don’t want to see Tongue play as a make shift dummy half again. It takes too much away from his game. One of the things that pissed me off about Simon Woodford, was the amount of forward passes he threw from dummy half with the flat line attack. I think Lincoln Withers was guilty of it as well. Hopefully, Flannigan and Buttriss will lay the platform for high completion rates.

Shaun Fensom, the Toyota Cup captain and he will probably get a run at some stage this year.
