with the penrith front row looking a little light, what are the odds of Andrew Pearn getting a run at some stage this year?

Like Big Mick has alluded to some players actually perform better in the top grade than they do in the lower grades.

I sincerely hope Junior Moors is one such player because in the past two seasons he hasn't done anything on the field which normally would have warranted promotion to the top grade. Should have but hasn't.

I am also a little surprised with the selection of Smith. He was with Elliot at the Raiders and got very, very few opportunites. What has changed? One has to assume he has a new attitude and work ethic! While it's handy to have someone on the bench who can genuinely cover outside back positions coaches do not generally interchange outside backs so I guess he is primarily selected to interchange with our back rowers.

Looking forward to seeing Worth as he is the unknown quantity to our supporters. Did not get any opportunities with Knights which is a little bit of a concern considering there injury problems in the forwards in recent seasons, particularly considering they brought in dinosaurs such Craig Smith and Luke Davico. So I am interested to see how Worth goes in the flesh.

  1. We are not light in the front row, far from it.
  2. Without being critical of Andrew Pearn who has displyed some potential I think it is fair to say he is unlikely to get a start in front row.
  3. O'Beirne, Norrie and Ranieri and Grant are at least four of the front rowers currently in front of Pearn in the pecking order.

Heard from Elliott today, he said Jennings will be in the team very very soon.

Panthers supporters don't need Matt Elliot to provide us with such inside information, it is a given. Jennings will emerge as one of the top line centres in the NRL at some stage in 2007, of that there is no doubt.

Your f**king kidding,right?

No.

Sammut, Jennings and Daniella...would not look out of place in First Grade.

I'd choose all three above one player in the First Grade backline.

Big Mick, who might that be? Wesser or could it be Luke Lewis?

Your are not on PI now Mick, you can actually express your opinion!

Ha Ha!

Big mick is spot on .Jennings is certain to be in first grade and daniella must be close to a wing spot. Sammitt needs a bit of work on defence but it is a long year you never know.

Has anyone seriously put forward Jarrod Sammut for a first grade position in 2007.

He has talent but I have no idea where you get the impression supporters have been putting him forward as a candidate for the top grade in the 2007?

Sammut has had some off-field issues apparantly which have affected his football.

I don't think we'll see him in First Grade this year, and maybe not even next year.

But he does have a bucketload of talent and anyone who says that he hasn't got talent obviously has never really watched him play.

Elliot has a history of choosing "Backs who could play in the forwards, but not very well" by chucking them on with 10-15 to go. Sometimes on the wing, sometimes elsewhere. Either way his impact is not going to be much.

Red head who played one first grade came in 2005 against Canberra in canberra, spent most of last season out injured. Knee reconstruction I think.

I know nothing about Wallace, what can you tell me about him?

Thanks in advance.

Superstar in the making whose career has been hindered by serious injury.

Cross between Brett Kenny, Wally Lewis, Steve Carter and Preston Campbell.

The Sharks will know all about Peter Wallace after Saturday night.
