Overlooked?

After reading the numerous views from ppl on the broncos game, i can't help myself anymore. I thought i have to write something. For me the biggest point overlooked is that we played bad football. It really comes from us continually not putting sides away. Take away vage's no try, the flop whatever. The main point is we had all the ball early on, numerous chances, and yet we only scored 12 points. That is just not good enough to beat even the knights these days, let alone the broncs. I seriously get so frustrated with us each week, not going in for the kill. The roosters or dogs from previous yr's were never content on just getting home. If they have the chance put 50 on them. Please come on SHARKS! and start to put on points, please don't continually give sides a chance.

I'll go along with that.
I thought the way we were going early we would put 50 on the Broncos but of course we didn't.

you guys mustn't be sharks fans since you expect the best

even if we're leading by 100, i'm still doubtful that we'll flog the side

Really still trying to get over that loss. haha. In fact have to go replace 1 of my sharks polo shirts, after is somehow got ripped up near the end of the game. Whoops!

This is the message all Sharks coaches in history have sent out after 20 minutes.

"Ok guys, were playing pretty good and theres an hour to go, so well done, grab your doonas and pillows and lets have a nice sleep, cause we deserve it."

Happened against the Broncs and will happen plenty of times in the future. My friend calls it the Sharkie snooze button.

Not as silly as it sounds. I get that feeling too, newman. I often think to myself `What the heck did the coach say to them at half time'. The 1999 final against Saints was the PRIME example. We scored 8 points in the first half when we should have scored 20. Then shut up shop in the 2nd. half and let Big Mouth run all over us.

I'm never ever confident of a win, no matter who we're playing. Guess that's why, after 38 years, I'm a jibbering wreck and almost a complete lunatic.

so what happens when the coach changes clubs ... does he leave the snooze button behind ?

to put 50 points on the broncos takes a very good side in white hot form, playing a very off broncos outfit, we are not in white hot form and the broncos got a wake up call against the storm, doubt if we'll see 50 put on them for a while.

Having said that we put the cowboys away didn't we ?

Hehe. Me too. My girlfriend HATES it when I watch the Sharks play. Not because shes some kinda megalomaniac under the thumb type, but she sees me stress, worry, strain, moan and groan to the point of jibbering wreck and she therefore assumes Im not having a good time. And half the time shes right.

It's almost as if for many years, many games and in particular, every final we paly in - we start off like a comet and then, the players and coaching staff look around at eachother and say " well, we're in front, what do we do now" ? and they kinda all look at each other again for a few seconds and all together say "we panic..arrgghh !!!"

Nuffs and Newman et al, I hear you !

Sharks fans are experts at heartbreak and will set world records for patience. Bugger !!
