Shane Stead was a reasonable high jumper as a 16 year old, and had a bit of ability, but had the heart of a disabled flea. He would be pretty high on my list too ivana.

I was present during a home valuation recently, and was interested to see that Brett Lobb was still in the area engaged in the real estate game. He didn't exactly set the world on fire out in the back line either.

Tim Sheens went on to great success in the coaching ranks, but as a hard man up front, he was pretty soft.

Can't argue too much about your assessments of the respective abilities of STEAD and LOBB. Couldn't disagree more about your views about Tim SHEENS.

Fibro, your terminology in reference to being ' pretty soft ' is interesting. Are you having any personal issues at the moment Fibro?

Sheens was always more worried about his comb still being in position in his right sock than getting the hard yards. I heard you used to go o.k. in your day Kill Kenny, but had a heart the size of a split..............carraway seed.

I also heard you used to be blessed with considerable pace in your footballing days as a winger.

Only problem being you possessed a similar heart condition to the one I apparently possess.

Brett Lobb scored the only try for the Panthers in the 5th-spot playoff against Manly way back in 1985.

He was never in the mould of a "Wesser" or a "Barwick". but a very versatile, reliable player.

And Pieter Muller NEVER played 1st grade for the Panthers...spent his whole Panther life in reserves & on the injured list.

Also drinking 50 schooners a week and going straight from Panthers to McDonalds and then back to work once a fortnight is not good for fitness levels.

I recall back in the Mick Stevenson and Bill Ashurst era in the mid 1970's we recruited a springbok front rower by the name of Kent LAMBERT. He was recruited at great expense and much fanfare. He never played a game in first grade and was a major disappointment. He gets my vote.
