With tomorrow being the 6 year anniversary of the tragic passing of Owen Hart. I'm interested to know how everybody on here first found out about the tragity. I actually can't remember how I first found out.

as you know at the time main event didnt have ppvs and it was a monday so i was at school. we were in tourism class and it so happened that at the time of the ppv we were using the internet so i decided id go to the wwe chat to get results of the ppv. everything was going good and then all of a sudden these people were talking sh*t about owen hart like owen is dead and i just thought ok the godfather beat him but then sh*t continued and yeah i started to believe it and then i looked around and it was true, damn shame, one of my fave wrestlers ever.

I heard it on the radio. They were very sketchy about the circumstances and my first thought was that it was a drug overdose.

It wasn't until I saw the news that night that I found out how it happened. I was really upset at myself for because I'd been thinking bad things about him because I thought it was drugs.

Some dude from school heard bout it on the radio and told us that morning. We were like "Aye?" sh*t, then we all started reminiscing on our favourite Owen matches, and he almost instantly became everyones fav wrestler lol.

Soon after the death I played WWF warzone on N64 against my mate and his brother who were both much much better than me, in a tripple threat cage match. I went as owen hart in his honour and won. I don't think i've ever beat either of them again...

I only started watching wrestling a couple of years ago, so lately i've been trying to catch up on history and when i came across Owen Hart dying i was pretty sad. It was in a 'pro wrestling history' book, and i just read the chapter of him dying in Stone Cold's biography a couple of days ago...

I heard about it on Raw the next night. I had taped that episode but some bitch known as a sister taped over it.

I punched her in the forehead, she cried to mum, mum didn't care, i won!

Respect Owen.

I heard it on the news and it was around the same time my grandmother died, so I was already kind of sad. At first I thought it was Hulk Hogan as he was the only pro wrestler I knew back then (I wasn't into Wrestling).

Reading about it, it comes very apparent how good a wrestler the guy was and what a funny guy backstage he was.

Found the day itself/after at school. Then the wwf website and a local newspaper confirmed it.

Wrestling has never been the same again...Now its just a farce mainly. Like the Trish-Rikishi 'date'---If i wanted to see a date, I would watch Arena!

6years...geez, has it been that long? I will never forget him. I new he was an awesome guy just from the way he'd wrestle. We miss you, dude. Still. Hope his family is ok.

I read it on the net then saw the tribute on Raw a couple of days later. Best Raw ever

it was pretty good. esp the stone cold beer part right at the end. i thought jeff jarret had a pretty good speech too.

I'll take ur words foir it. The only part I've seen of it was what was the RAW Tenth Anniversary special. Though in an interview Owen's brother Bret said he didn't like it cuz the superstars should've been allowed to grieve in a more private way.
