Any thruth in the rumour that Real Madrid are planning on offering 25-52 million pounds for Michael Owen?

Well as a representative of Real Madrid I can confidently say to you that....

Nah seriously, I can't see Owen wanting to leave Liverpool, I can't see Liverpool being prepared to let him go and I can't see why Real Madrid would want/need him!! Therefore I seriously doubt that he will end up in Madrid anytime soon.

Well with up to 52million pounds, they will be able to buy a couple of very good strikers and then piss Jerzy Dudek off as he is crap.

But very unlikely though.

Only Real Madrid would be stupid enough to offer 52 million pounds for Owen. Even money bags Chelski aren't stupid enough to pay that for him. Liverpool will be laughing all the way to the bank if that happens.

Liverpool can help themselves to Paul Robinson if they are after a new keeper, the fact that he is useless may prove a stumbling block though.

Name one goalkeeper that would play well in front of that defence. Leeds are awful, only so much of the blame can be placed on Robinson. I think he will go to Arsenal if they go down.

I agree Leeds' defence is terrible, it has been since Ferdinand left. But Robinson hasn't done much right though. Most other keepers in the preniership would have been able to keep out more goals then what Robinson has IMO.

As for his next destination, I don't care where he goes as long as they pay cash!!!!

Yeah i saw the highlights against Portsmouth last night and he let in a couple of bad ones. He doesnt really seem to care much either, he seems to be going through the motions a bit.

Robinson? No way, he is still one of Leeds better players. They will go even worse without him.

Phillips - I know Arsenal have quite a few goalkeepers atm, but Lehmann hasnt been to impressive so far, so you never know. But now i think of it, Man City will probably be looking for another goalkeeper at the end of the season too. Seaman wont go on for too much longer.

Leeds fans would wanna hope there is no relegation release clause type of thing ;-)

Look, he deserves to be dropped. But with Nigel Martyn and Danny Milosevic both gone now, there is no one left who could replace him. Scott Carson and Shaun Allaway are good young keepers, but probably aren't ready yet and would do no better then Robinson.

"Real Madrid and Chelsea are said to be interested in signing Owen from Liverpool, who would be faced with a decision between selling their biggest asset early or see him leave on a free contract in the summer of 2005 if talks do not progress."

Interesting...and exactly who would we (Chelsea) throw out in the event of a Michael Owen signing?

Adrian Mutu, Hernan Crespo, Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink & Eidur Gudjhonson are all class acts, not to mention Mickael Forrsell and Carlton Cole who are both due back at the end of the year!

In saying that though, I would love to see Owen playing for Chelsea just to get underneath the skin of all Liverpool fans worldwide! Shove that up ya's  ;-)

I wonder if Birmingham will try and get Forrsall on a permanent deal.
The way he's been playing he'll probably get a deal with a bigger club. I understand that the reason he chose Birmingham was because they didn't want (or were willing not to have) a 1st option on him. So I think it's obvious that he is just using them to prove his wares and is then looking to either force his way into Chelsea (good luck), or go to another fairly big club.

The things is what club would be interested? Cant see Arsenal being interested in him, or perhaps Man Utd, he would fit in with RVN. I dont rate Forlan all that highly to be honest. He is ok.

I would love to have him at Man Utd, and I know a lot of other red devil fans agree. He has a great all-round game, would be willing to be on the bench quite often as long as he got a fair shot at a starting position, and will only get better as he gets older.

Forlan....well, he's starting to find form now. The problem he had was that he never got a chance to be consistently in the starting line-up. For the first time he's getting that and has scored 4 goals in 5 games, some of them beauties. The goal he scored against Rangers was one of the best of the season. It just has to be seen whether he can continue like that.

True, Owen would look good in the Manchester United #9, but in reality i cant see him leaving the scousers...well not yet anyways, and why does that guy in the sun herald keep mentioning Valencia?
