Classic example is Aust's treatment of NZ over many years - despite NZ having test status (and performing reasonably against England on a number of occasions) Aust refused to play us...

Things go in cycles - you have the advantage of currently being very strong, so you have some leverage... we don't. Thing is we know that whoever's in charge will treat us like sh*t, so we don't jump on your anti-Asian bandwagon
