i'm looking at wild queen, cateclipse and leading bid

cateclipse may be good value if he can come accross and take a good position early. was pressured last start from the bad barrier and i think just faded at the end. he'll be rock hard fit now

wild queen is the class horse. will be hard to beat

and i've always liked leading bid. a VIC jockey wouldn't come up here for a midweek meeting if it didn't have a big chance

and just on another HAWKS race tomorrow...race 6 no. 3 Radetzky March. my favourtie horse will be running around first-up since March and always runs a good race. the 1000m may be too short but i'll be having a go on him. loves the track but needs it dry. if it's dead they may even scratch him. he'll settle slgihtly worse than midfield one off the fence and watch the grey start to warm up coming round the turn

Wet...
Hawkesbury track heavy at the moment but ready
Hawkesbury Race Club CEO Brian Fletcher is confident the Hawkesbury track will be ready to host the club’s biggest raceday of the year tomorrow the Panthers Hawkesbury Gold Cup day despite heavy rain falling since last friday.
The track has received a total of 70 mils since last Friday including 15 mils overnight.
”If we were to race today we’d be racing on a track rated a heavy 8,” Fletcher said.
”We’ve copped 70 mils since last Friday and we got 15 mils overnight.
”The weather is fine at the moment and baring no more rain everything will be honky dory.”
The weather report for tomorrow is for a fine day with a top temperature of 32 degrees.

it wont be good odds. but i feel it may be scratched. although it's not nominated for saturday so they may run if they've got a summer target

it was scratched on saturday and it's odds then were around $4.00

so i'm thinking probably around $2.00 - $2.50. the only danger to me is kill the cat. and i'd expect that to be paying $4.50 or so

Yeah after having another look I'm on Wild Queen for sure. Gets a great run from the gate. Only thing I don't like about Sam, Moffo, is Zac Purton...

Going to back Wild Queen ($3.50) into Red Hannigan ($26) for the Railway. 91/1, worth a tennar...

point taken but Sam is the best horse in this race.

Hopefully Zac will turn up

SCRATCHED!!! thought so.
i'll still be following this one wherever it goes

and i might actually have a bit of a go at kill the cat. i was on it on Melb cup day and it got beat on the line by a backmarker. freshened up. still might have a little bit on it

I took the $3.25 about Wild Queen into Red Hannigan at $26. Don't think it'll be any shorter on the tote...

ollie vollie at $3 right now is a steal. should win by a couple. i expect it to start at $1.90 or so

I looked at this race again while having lunch and can't see the mare getting rolled. There's a kiss of death if ever you wanted to see one

Unlucky mate. A collect at least, but 2 winners and a 2nd. Even with favs they pay well if you get all 3 up...

$5.45 for 1 unit for the 2 legs getting up. Times whatever you had on. Kill the Cat started at $3. Would have been $36.45 dividend if the first leg stuck it's head out.
