Going to be a huge game.
No Edwards but Yeo and Luai fresh after week off.
Panthers will present challenges all over the field.
Our home record is very good this year undefeated at the Gong.
Hopefully we can jag a win somehow.
I think we are a better chance at home rather than next week away in Melb.
The Storm will be in GF, hopefully Bellamy would be thinking of taking it easy for the next couple of weeks, Saints need to jag 1 of the next 2 games.

I will b there and if its good weather for a 2pm gamer I expect a full crowd.
Even though not expecting to win good to see Penrith live but am praying for an upset...praying..praying

Hoping we are competitive atleast @home, not rly getting hopes up etc.. I just cant see our halves out-managing Cleary & Luai to win a close game.. so we would need a huge lead I think to win.

On top of that im sure the Panthers forwards will be excited to get 1 back after we beat them recently.

And they don't lose 2 in a row often.
Losing to Dolphins today so far.
They got up amazingly.
When we are in the 8 ie before Manly Chooks,we lose but when we are out of it we win ie Dolphins Broncs.
Hope if we are in 8 after today we buck that trend.

We will be 9th when Cows win
In our favour that the Panthers got home late to win today , and Cleary was the hero
All we will hear all week is Cleary Cleary etc
Plenty of back slapping
Im sure Flanno will work off this
Our boys fresh and playing at the Gong a big advantage
Unsettle them early and dominate possession
Melb will be tougher , this is winnable

If we can defend really well, we might spring an upset. We are capable of winning games like this at home. The players have got to believe in themselves individually and more-so as a team. Just got to remember that by winning we will make it possible for us to be playing finals footy and anything can happen then.

I really hope we can make a game of it. Being flogged like both times against the Roosters would be deflating heading into Melbourne.
If this team has finals aspirations they have to show they are worthy going up against the big boys.
I wouldn't be the least surprised if the Panthers just use us as tackling practice and put on a try near the end to win by 8 or 10.

I predicted we'd be the new Canberra Raiders this year (reaching the finals with a negative for & against) and, would you believe that in round 21 of 2022, Canberra played the premiers Penrith, at home, and got flogged 26-6. The Raiders went on a late season win streak to reach the top 8 and actually win their first finals match! I guess what I'm saying is: don't spiral into depression when we get smoked this weekend lol

Can’t see us getting the win but hoping for an 80 minute effort.
The Panthers don’t normally put a lot of points on their opposition so here’s hoping we can stay close enough.
Don’t envy Sloan trying to catch Cleary’s floaters with Martin honing in on him.

Well the next few games will give us a real understanding of where we are at and how far we have "improved".

Hopefully all our opponents are at full strength so there is absolutely no confusion in respect of making that judgement.

Good showings will assist recruitment but if we cop any floggings that will mean more journeymen and 2nd stringers.

Fingers crossed we turn up in all these games.

Agree with you OT, what worries me is we played the Rorters twice and once without their 2 strike weapons, and we saw what the end result was there, on both occasions. These next 2 games are totally defining for the Dragons.
