You are correct about this. However, it is sometimes difficult to know what the agenda he's driving is. Certainly it is not always the benefit of his club, its players and supporters, or achieving the greatest possible on-field success for the club that employs him.
For example he could have had a bit more to say about the incidents that put Mansour and Campbell-Gillard out of the game for extended periods, but his silence was deafening, and in the case of RCG he in fact blamed the injured player.
