I very rarely start the teams for next week. lol. My team would be:

1. Rhys Wesser
2. Michael Gordon
3. Michael Jennings
4. Brad Tighe
5. Luke Rooney
6. Jarrod Sammut/Joseph Paulo
7. Wade Graham
8. Tony Puletua
9. Masada Iosefa
10. Petero Civoniceva
11. Frank Pritchard
12. Trent Waterhouse
13. Luke Lewis

14. Maurice Blair
15. Junior Moors
16. Matthew Bell
17. Adam Woolnough

Masada Iosefa is quiet easily our form hooker, and with all his potential is the bloke we should be developing. Luke Priddis is quiet often letting the team down. Silly penalties and mistakes... he is just so frustrating to watch.

I wont list a full side, but I do think for the good of the club, overall, that Graham and Coote need to go back to the 20's to give them some firepower.

I personally think Graham is still abit underdone for first grade, but is outstanding in the 20's. Wesser seems to have found a bit of form, and I think Coote's talent is being wasted on the wing.

I do however think that Masada is the real deal and should stay in the top side. This kid has got mungrel in him and is very very sharp. The side looks better when he is out there.

Joey Paulo is the player I'd have to toss a coin to know what to do with. I think he should be in first grade, but would really be handy to have playing in the backrow in the 20's if they had Graham back in the halves.

For mine, Priddis was a liability last night...gave away 3 DUMB penalties and just too slow.

We looked so much quicker with Iosefa on the paddock...keep him there.

I think Coote will be better served for this apprenticeship, but send him back to Under 20's for a few weeks. Graham to stay but, he'll have a field day against the Tigers.

Not sure about Wesser...he's gone ok...nothing spectacular but...made a couple of positioning errors last night.

Bob Blair back to Windsor for a couple of weeks....It was an audition between him and Tighe for centre. Tighe won. Blair back to Windsor to find some aggressiveness he has now lost.

1. Rhys Wesser
2. Luke Rooney
3. Michael Jennings
4. Brad Tighe
5. Michael Gordon
6. Wade Graham
7. Luke Lewis
8. Tony Puletua
9. Masada Iosefa
10. Petero Civoniceiva
11. Frank Pritchard
12. Trent Waterhouse
13. Nathan Smith

RES:
14. Adam Woolnough
15. Matthew Bell
16. Junior Moors
17. Shane Rodney

To me, thats our best line up of the year!

You sure you want Paulo at 7? he was the biggest under 20s 5/8th yesterday, and would for sure be the biggest 7. in under 20s if not NRL!

He's played #7 before. He's got good vision imo...until Graham comes back...stick him in the #7 because we need Romelo at Hooker.

before the u20 game elliott was interviewed and was saying the young guys may go back to u20 as he had injured players back in premier league to cover them

If you rate him that highly, why not stick him in first grade at #7?

Personally, I think he has the stature and game to play lock or 5/8th.

The only bloke in our entire list of personnel that is truly capable of wearing the #7 at the top level is Sammut or possibly Masada.

Sammut is too small, and simply doesnt have the physical attributes to play first grade. That's why he has been left to hang out and dry.

I'd send Paulo to 5/8th and see how he goes? Either Lewis or Masada at half. Priddis or Aiton to hooker.

Coote and Graham back to 20's to ensure their top 2 position.

1. Wesser (Still the best fullback at the club. We looked so much better last night with him in place of Coote. Coote is a player of the future, not the present)
2. Rooney (Never lets anyone down in defense and Graham and Lewis have recently realised they should kick to him. Give him one game. If he doesn't do his part Tighe back to the wing)
3. Jennings (Picks himself)
4. Tighe (Looked good. Back to the wing though with Blair in the centres if Rooney doesn't do his job)
5. Gordon (Woo! So glad this guy is back. He is one of our best)
6. Graham (Better and better every week)
7. Lewis (Like Graham is looking better and better. Smarter options, better kicks)
8. Petero (Best player on the team. All heart)
9. Priddis (Smart options and experience along with leadership. We need some old heads out there. Let Masada come on later and carve them up)
10. Puletua (His form has dropped a bit though. I hope he can pull it back again)
11. Waterhouse (Good work horse. Needs to get rid of the dropped balls though)
12. Pritchard (Amazing when he's on but not on enough. Needs to find consistency. The Warriors, Eels and Titans games he was what we need to be serious in the comp)
13. Smith (Does his job and tackles all day. Needs to just hit it up and let the flashier boys do the flashy stuff)

14. Iosefa (To come on and carve up the tired players with his speed and quickness around the rucks)
15. Bell (Looks better and better every week. Making some good runs)
16. Blair (Solid backrower who can cover for those injuries we always seem to pick up throughout games)
17. Moors (Looked good last week. No reason to drop him)

Woolnough will be back soon enough. We'll need him for the Manly game. Give him one more week in the lower grades and if he looks the goods bring him on.

Coote is good but he isn't half the player Wesser is defensively. I love his enthusiam but Wesser is just the better player for now. That will change soon enough but we've gotta go with what works for now.

We really need to win this next game against the Tigers. We've got some really tough games coming up and need to get points where we can. The losses to the Dragons & Newcastle were games I really thought we should of won. THe draw with Broncos hurt too. Having Manly twice and Melbourne in these last few weeks will really show where we are in terms of the top teams. We have to win one of those three games to be taken seriously. If we get pumped in all three we might scrape into the eight only to play one of them again.

Fortunately for us Manly are in trouble with injuries and will be without Lyon and potentially Orford. If we play them without those two in two weeks time we need to step up and beat them no excuses.

Big Mick, with regards to your 20's team i thought i'd inform Penrith supporters here of what i saw on Saturday at Skilled Park.

Outside the ground waiting to get in i saw Harry Seijka in a Panthers polo shirt. I would assume he was on standby for Paulo if he was called up to First Grade. That would of meant Romelo moving to 5/8 and Harry to halfback.

If this is the case it shows how highly the staff rate Harry and are even willing to take him from Harold Mat's straight into the 20's. Be interesting to see if he gets a run later this season.

Daz the gold coast halfback was 16 and boy was he good.I have no doubts harry could step up.The u20 i noticed seems to allows a lot of the younger ones to come through faster than normal

I know they play in different positions, but the first time I saw Mick jennings and Greg Waddell, I knew they were something special and destined to play at the highest level.

I must say, I've only seen Harry play once, and wasn't overly impressed. Then again I haven't been overly impressed with Wade G since he's stepped up to FG. Maybe I expect too much from the halves? Brandy and Gowie leave some fairly big shoes to fill........

Its because you're not watching close enough.

He has all the toughness of Gowie, and got plenty of skill!
