As you might be aware, the people LeagueUnlimited will be running a Trivia Night at One World Sport on Thursday 17th February.

I have decided to enter a Panthers based team, based on supporters of the greatest footy team in the world.

:D

Anyway, the minimum number needed is 8, and the maximum is 10. At this time, I am the only one, and therefore the objective of this thread is to get some more people on board.

I'm sure that there is some people on here that would be interested, but I'm going to ask people in the Beersquad and Girdlerettes (2 Panthers based supporter groups) as well, to gather interest.

If you are interested, post a message on here. Hopefully we can get a team together, and have a top night.

I've included what Legend, the organiser, has to say about this whole thing.

There is also a dedicated forum on this whole thing, and can be found at:

Cheers
Andrew

In an effort to keep this forum growing with a sense of community feeling, I have taken the liberty of getting a quote for a trivia night in February 2004.

Ideally I would like to get a team together from every NRL team to give the night a feeling of genuine rivalry. There will be prizes and "hopefully" some NRL players at the trivia night.

Whilst I am still awaiting a quote, the price will be no more than $40.00 per head and that will include the trivia night, food and prizes for the winning team, the mc/quizmaster and possible appearance fees for some of the players.

Everyone participating will do so under their forum nickname to keep things in the spirit of this forum.

The location will be One World Sport at Parramatta or City but you guys decide on what's best for you. Each table will be a minimum of eight people with and a maximum of ten.

Once we have the quote back from One World Sport we will add the trivia night to our online shop so you can pay through the site with your credit card or via Bpay.

The only drawback will be the trivia night will be for people over 18 as One World Sport is a licensed bar.

There will be six topics of 20 questions per topic and they will include:

History
Geography
Entertainment
Music
Current Affairs
Sports

Fibroman is a jet at trivia. I always crack 32 k on Eddie Maguire. You'd better count me in so the Panthers can continue on their winning way.

It would depend on what night in February for me. I can only swing it if it is every 2nd Saturday night...my only nights off. ;-)

Oops!!! I've just re-read your message Roo. Nah can't do it.

Welcome aboard lainey and fibro man. Already have some star recruits by the sounds of it!

:)

I'm not too bad at Trivial Pursuit, but I tend to bomb out a bit in Who Wants To Be A Mullionaire.

You never know Roo, it's only the off season too, so when most of the posters come drifting back in February you could find more interest.

I'm sure Phil could definately interest a few more Squadsters, just ask him.

You guys better hit the books then. I will be hitting the PCYC just incase some of the goosters want to punch on when we beat them at trivia TOO. BTW, my areas of speciality include: Geography, Science and Nature, and the US porn industry 1988-2002.
