The team is:

1.Jarrod Sammut 2.Brad Tighe 3.Gavin Cooper 4.Maurice Blair 5.Shane Elford 6.Wade Graham 7.Luke Walsh 8.Frank Puletua 9.Paul Aiton 10.Tim Grant 11.Trent Waterhouse (C) 12.Frank Pritchard 13.Nathan Smith
Interchange: 14. Matthew Bell 15.Joseph Paulo 16.Masada Iosefa 17.Andrew Emelio 18. Junior Tia-Kilifi

Not particularly surprised by anyone named. Could of gone Tighe in the centres with Tia-Kilifi on the wing and Cooper on the bench.

Injuries are bending us right over now though. We need to get Lewis, Jennings, Civoniceva and Gordon back as soon as possible. Sadly for Lewis and Gordon that doesn't look like it'll happen.

As much as I hate being negative, that 3/4 line (with the exception of Elford) will be destroyed by the Dogs and I fear a cricket score may be on the cards. Solid forwards and well done to House for being named captain, but that 3/4 line looks slow and immobile and incapable of putting on many points.

horrible side, morris and idris will tear us apart defensively and we just don't have the attacking ability with the 3/4 line to overcome that

That's the worst side named all season, deadset that's shocking team, I can only hope Cooper is moved out of the centres for Kilifi

I just love the positive vibe from my fellow Panther fans

I actually think we are capable of pulling off an upset

As bad as we look, the Bulldogs forwards, Ryan and Stagg aside are absolute trash really. The bench isn't exactly great either.

I'm not confident at all but if Roberts has one of his usual games we're in with a chance.

Agree I think we have a chance of pulling off an enormous upset. Drop Blair and bring Tia-Kilifi in.
Elliott needs to get that excellent attitude back in the players. Even if we don't win its the key to our season and we might as well book the team holiday now if we can't play like that.

I don't really think we've lost the attitude that we possessed in the eariler rounds. I do think we've lost the personnel to take advantage of that attitude.

With that being said if we do go backwards in our season from here on in, I think it will be for very different reasons to why it happened last year.

Agreed CP. Our attitude is fine. The depth being used to cover injuries just isn't good enough. In an already inexperienced side, we're missing our most talented young players, and unfortunately the blokes who are the key to our attack.

To top off losing those players, we have absolutely terrible depth to cover those losses. Once we have Jennings and one of Daniela or Gordon back, our backline will be a hundred times better. Just so long as we can get Cooper back onto the bench, and Blair as far away from a first grade jersey as possible.

Close, but I have to disagree with you.

Daniella belongs on the wing. He is too small and cant dominate in tackles or bust the line in attack in the centres.

Blair is a very very good player who is letting himself down with dedication. He is very fast and strong, and those are qualities that are born, not trained into you.

I hope for our sake that Maurice comes good in the next couple of weeks.

Agree Fibro. It's why I'm so dirty at Blair. If he pulled his head out of his ass he'd be absolutely perfect for our backline. He would add so much and get Tighe and Cooper and co away from the team/backline.
Obviously Elliott is hoping he snaps out of it as I am but he's far more patient than me. Hoping to see JTK push Tighe in and Blair out. Then we might create some chances.

As bad as our lineup looks. When you match our backs against theirs, the only huge mismatch is Morris/Blair.

Hazem isn't going to outrun anyone and Elford is a solid defender. Idris isn't a speedster either and Cooper is a really solid defender.

Or maybe this cold is actually the swine flu and has me delirious.
