This game is absolutely huge! There's nothing much more that can be said about it. Losing this game is a big blow to your finals hopes. I'm confident we can win if the forwards show up like they did against the Rabbitohs.

I hope our team looks something like:

1. Sammut
2. Tia Kilifi (Please, please, please!)
3. Jennings
4. Tighe (Really starting to prove some people wrong)
5. Gordon
6. Graham (For me he's been one of our best all year, get him more involved!!!)
7. Walsh
8. Puletua (Great game on Saturday, do it again)
9. Aiton
10. Woolnough (Proved me wrong, I'm a douchebag and I wear dresses)
11. Waterhouse
12. Pritchard (If he can play like that again we'll be tough to beat)
13. Lewis

14. Blair (Really doing well in whatever role he's given plus covers the backline for us)
15. Smith
16. Bell
17. Paulo/Grant

What was with the Petero thing over at PI? If he is any chance of playing this game... Our biggest weakness has been our go forward. With him back, we'd have that BOOM BOOM BOOM!

My side would be:

1. Michael Gordon
2. Junior Tia Kilifi
3. Michael Jennings
4. Maurice Blair
5. Brad Tighe
6. Wade Graham
7. Luke Walsh
8. Frank Puletua
9. Paul Aiton
10. Adam Woolnough
11. Frank Pritchard
12. Trent Waterhouse
13. Luke Lewis

14. Jarrod Sammut
15. Joseph Paulo / Nathan Smith / Gavin Cooper
16. Matt Bell
17. Tim Grant

This is the order of preference in how i would use Jarrod Sammut off the bench:

5/8
Wade Graham > Halfback
Luke Walsh > Bench

Luke Walsh is a defensive liability and i would look at limiting his time on the field depending on how much of a workover the Eels are giving him. Jarrod Sammut is a small player, but he will put his body on the line and he's not too bad at defending in the halves.

Hooker
Paul Aiton > Lock or Bench

If the halves are doing a good job in both attack and defence, i would look at bringing Sammut on for impact at dummy half. Paul Aiton can either stay on the field and they can work together, or he can take a rest altogether so that he is fresh toward the end. I'm not confident that Sammut can cope with the defensive workload that Aiton has, but he has come off the bench at hooker once before and he had a ripper of a game. Couldn't hurt to see if he can do it again.

Fullback
Michael Gordon > Wing or Centres
Maurice Blair > Second Row, Hooker, Halves or Bench
Brad Tighe > Centres (If Gordon shifts to wing)

The media crapped on about Watmoughs game against the tigers as the best most dominating forwards game all year.....then along came the Pritchard show! His perfomance was the best by far. Ill be praying to the football gods that he can do it again for you guys this weekend against the slimmy eels. Pleeeeeeeeeease beat these big mouth ,band wagon riding chokers.

Sore loser if there ever was one.

Penrith played well against Souths, but this parramatta team is way ahead of the rabbitohs, should be close to a sell out.

You have been the most reasonable person on all forums, why get onto the panthers forums and let loose on us ! You've shown your true colours. You are officially the worst supporter to ever grace the game !

only change should be Cooper or Grant for Smith Parra still has weak forwards and Smith has no aggresion Cooper tackles much harder and plays Prop at a push also.

Blair worked at hooker for those that weren't at the game most of the time Sammut was in there however in defence and the odd pass that Blair through was decent also gives us another kicker.

We "should" be were the Storm are on the ladder and Melbourne "should" be on the same points as the Eels due to the f**K-UP game with the Bulldogs interchange and that right royal f**k-up from the refs in the Storm match.

So as it "should" be,we "should" be a 4th placed side playing a ninth placed side so when it is looked in to the proper perspective,we "should" win this by 8.

* Note "should" instead of "could".

Could be a good game though.

That certainly goes without saying,Caged.

But the battle will go down right to the last round (most notably in two Sunday nights time) when the upsets will continue.

The better prepared team and the club with the coach that has the experience in settling the the players down before a big game will go a long way into remaining in the eight.

I'd rather make it seventh than eighth though.

No-like meeting a Bennett coached Dragons in the play-offs.

Dragons are as about as certain to take the minor premiership at the moment as we are to make the eight.

I'd say no changes to the team. I didn't even mind Aiton off the bench.

We would have to be at our very best to win. It's a tough one. I'm nervous.

Walsh will really be targeted in defense. He needs to step up, that first try last week was his fault. He doesn't have the best side to side movement and is often caught out on defense. I hope he puts in a bit more effort. Otherwise play between 2 good defenders like Blair or Lewis. I think a real weakness we have is when out wide we get Graham, Walsh, Tighe all bunched together.

Anyway should be a good game. Will be interesting to see how much petrol Parra have got left in the tank. They will have to lose a game eventually, lets hope its this week.

On an emotional level pumped for friday, on a logical level feeling as thought it might be bit of a diabolical result.

the battle will be in the forwards .Ours need to step up.Our kicking game is not a long one meaning we need to get around half way before the last tackle and kick.Aiton needs more dummy half running.
The game can and will be won.I feel we can do it

I got my hopes up when we played the Dragons and got bitterly disappointed, while I think we have a better chance I can see this being a massive anti-climax.

We need a big defensive effort and our stars need to shine (Huey, House, Peanuts, Jenko).

Sorry Eelicit:eek: you yourself have been fair and reasonable as well, But i cant help it, the eels along with perhaps the dragons seem to have the most biased and cocky supporters ever. You must admit there were a fair share of big mouths in the WT forum b4 they even played us , just spouting absoulute rubbish not based on any league facts what so ever. A quick trip into the Parra forums to give my opinion on such things as the Haynes incidents and all i read was made up gibber and unfactual rubbish about the Tigers. So forgive me my little 5 minutes of venting and wanting the Penny Pathers the rain on the Parra parade to quieten down some of the mouths for a while. Surely feeling a little protective of my tiges doesnt make me the worst supporter ever does it ?

The Eels have been up now for six weeks, since the Panthers beat them in Round 17. It was somewhat of a grand final for them against the Tigers and they came out on top. It is very hard to sustain the level of performance they have shown in the last six week and they are due to perform somewhat less than they have been performing at. Yes, we have to do the business and perform at our best but I think we can do a job on the Eels and come away with the two points on Friday night. (Having said that I said the same thing about the game against the Dragons and I was proved very wrong)
