PARRA CULTURE....wheres the club loyalty???

Its really annoyed me of late to see this club come to such crap.. i mean looking at our team... its not one that promotes fear or intimidation at all... cowboys were confident of racking up a win for eg..

What i think it comes down to is that people see parra as a stepping stone to establishing themselves at other clubs i mean ive read a lot of post on tonga and other parra juniors that have gone to other clubs... not only that people we have brought into the team only stay for a season or 2 then there gone to other clubs...

I understand not contracting players if there crap like hodgson after last yr preformance... but looking at most teams.. there seems to be a wealth of parra players amongst them.. dogs, raiders, manly, pj at warriors, kelly at broncos..etc ( i know some were parra juniors but they should have been persuaded to stay..)

I would have loved to have seen Jason Smith play out his career at Parramatta instead of going to Hull... but then again.. he was prolly offered a wad of cash too.. I loved the days of the "baby eels" .. we had so much talent and depth .. it didnt matter if we had played 10 games between all of them.. they were awesome to watch...

THE point is that there seems to be no loyalty within the club... no ones wants to stick it out for the long one and play for the club...hindy and cayless and few others.. but u got to ask why everyone leaves and even lyons for eg i mean.. look at the roosters... iam sure..even with fittler going they will get lote even if that means some players getting cutbacks.. but they dont care coz they have a strong club culture and if that means loosing a few dollars to stay at the club then great... even bulldogs players tooks cuts last yr... walker left souths to go to them on crap pay.. why didnt we attract him???

At our club... how many players did we loose in 2001 and in the following yrs? The following year at the start we were rated as the favourites... any other club players would have stuck together... if it all comes down to money at our club we are going to struggle... Matt orford says he wants to finish at a grand final winning team... id say dont come here...

We got to develop a way of promoting a better culture within parra... so that everyone who comes wants to stay till the end... if this means like some on this site suggest firing Smith then this might not be a bad thing..

whats eveyones thoughts on this... thought id put up this idea since eveyone else are voicing there thoughts...

yeah true that about loyalty... but i would have thought.. smith and co giving the juniors a crack at the top grade would have been repaid in them staying at the club... bit of a bummer when they leave and we are the ones who nurture and grow em... and other clubs reap the benefits... tonga for eg

Very easy question to answer loyalty.

The reason why players leave is because they don't wan't to be there.....end of question!!!, if they did they would stay for a pay cut.
