the others have to watch all of this years videos where we played really well. Motivate themselves and recap on all the attacking plays, solid goal line defence etc..... They'll be up all night if they don't start early.

lol. QFT

probably because the sponsors contract with radio rentals says that the pirtek parramatta eels will provide 4 first grade players to one in-store appearance for 1 hour.

I drove pass the store on my way to work last night and please believe, the store is only big enough for 4 players.

this is no doubt true  ..... it'd be nice if they organise something else official for ALL players tho - open training session maybe?

did they all (4) turn up or did the rain scare them away. Nothing would surprise me at the moment. Hope it was good for those that attended.

There is a press release on the eels website about the event.

What I found the most amusing was when someone was shouting out to Mark Riddell when I was standing in line, "Pig... OI PIG... RIDDELL... PIGGY... PIGGY... OI MARK", until he finally got his attention. They had a platter of food layed out in front of them and were eating it, only to have this guy go, "You haven't stopped, have ya mate?".

All of the guys started laughing sarcastically except Riddell, as if they knew this was going to happen due to the unpredictability of the setup with the food/the amount of times the jokes been used, that it has become lame. Riddell replied, "Yeah, that was pretty funny..." in a sarcastic and slightly bitter way and averted his gaze away from him. It's funny how they say Riddell is a bad clubs man, because he gets in fights etc, but with comments like these why wouldn't you? Though I did think he was fine with the stigma, but apparently not lol.

They looked worn out and a little disinterested though, probably because of the flight, or maybe because they wanted to be doing anything else. Probably a bit of both, but I'm not going to judge them. It was good of them to make it and they were at least attempting to be cheerful. It was pretty cool to see Parramatta fans congregating in the same place outside of a football event. They did whatever you requested them too which was cool, got pictures and signatures. Only really other negative is they turned up half an hour late, but that wasn't really an issue (Even though I did have to be somewhere else). That and I traveled 80 minutes all up by bus to Browns Plains and 80 minutes back to get there :p

Only a small crowd turned up, but I'm sure that was because of the rain. The guys were about 25 minutes late, due to traffic and arriving late in Brisbane, but we didn't mind waiting. My 3 kids loved it, Junior thought Piggy was rude, as for Burt, Finch and Inu they were gentleman and asked their names before signing their shirts and posters. My youngest kept saying on our way home, Mum, Kristan is soooooooo tall, to a 5 year old he would be. My daughter (aged 8) just wanted to take Burt and Inu home with us. Like mother like daughter. Can wait till we go to Sydney to watch them take on the Storm and Panthers and get more autographs, little Aaron wants to see Jarryd and Hindy.

Burty, Finchy and INU make up for alot of the rudenss our clubs put on display some times. Three great guys!!

Storm game is on a Sunday - back in the day you wouldve had a Signing Session in the Leagues club after that game... but at least you should be able to wait around the back of the Grand Stand to snag a few photos and autographs
