Frank Pritchard- Spoke to his brother and best schoolmate-verbally agreed with Parra but Roosters keep uping money offer-and tigers chasing very hard-but we should still sign him--good oil!

Chad Robinson has also agreed to come back.

Matt Orford is so taken back apparently by Parras intense interest and money that he will decide between Parra and Melbourne within 7 days-we have increased the original offer and he is close to coming-

Centre for another Nrl club will come to us but cannot get a name- P Graham is my guess but my source cannot tell me as Smithy is doing all the work and tryng to get him a release-so it is a player under contract for next year.

Glenn Morrison was close to signing but Warriors have come in with a huge offer money wise- but we are still with hope

Unfortunately, I gather Dykesy is speaking to the sharks and i have been told that he will go if Orford signs- hope its not right but it is right

Thorman will not be with us -perhaps the rest of the year- as there is interest from 2 ESL clubs- who have asked parra for an early relaese-
dont know whether we will say yes or no

Danny Galea is being chased by us -i dont rate him- but he may come to us or souths- my source does not know now.

Stapleton is wanted by Warriors who also want Hopkins-money is high.

i have a good connection within the training staff- no names- and Pritchards future i know through his best mate through Eagle Vale HIgh where he was a star player- apparently played centre prop and hooker as everyone else on the side were scared to run and tackle the bigger opponents back then- cant reveal source but its as close to the man himself as possible

Not saying it will all turn out but info is 100% true!

Sorry i don't think we should be just taking your word on it like that. Unless you're willing to back up your facts, it's speculation like the rest of it. A few weeks ago you said Pritchard had already signed with Parramatta, then another bloke on the forums says he spoke to him last week and he said there was no chance of him coming. Some of your rumours seem realistic, and hopefully some of em turn out, but until otherwise stated, they should remain rumours.

You sir have absolutley no idea. Firstly half the players their don't have permission to negotiate with other clubs prior to June 30. Frank Pritchard especially.

So where ever your getting your word from you can tell them to stick it.

How would you know they don't have permision? I can assure you that some of what he is saying is true, some is just rumour. Pritchard has met with Nathan Brown and has also reportedly had meetings with the Roosters so maybe he has been given permission but it hasn't been reported in the media? Or maybe the June 30 deadline is just a JOKE as most people believe it to be.

Also Earl, it was the worst kept secret in League about 3 weeks ago that Firman was off to the Roosters on a 3 year deal. Was it ever reported in the media that Firman had even been given permission to negotiate 3 weeks ago? Nope. It was reported about a week ago that Firman was given permission to negotiate but by that stage he was already signed sealed and delivered

Don't rely on what's reported in the paper that's all I'm saying mate. Some people on here do have genuine sources (not of the BBQ variety) ;-)

I was the one who posted that I spoke to Frank and he said he wasn't coming.

I had read on here that afternoon that he had apparently signed a 3 yr deal with us so I went and asked him when we saw him at Panthers on the Sunday night of the long weekend.

He said nah mate, I won't be going to Parra- and apologised- nice bloke but if I'm to believe him , and I have no reason not to, he won't be coming to us. Things may change but as of that night he DEFINATELY hadn't signed with us- as you had claimed.

You didnt mention that Riddell is now an Eels (or will be within 24hrs)
Would love to get Pritchard (who had a MOM performance for Penruff on the weekend) and Orford...we'll see what happens though. The Warriors can have Stapelton and Hopkins..that'll free up a few hundred k's to buy some more talent...

Well, Morrison said on the weekend in an interview that he had not been given permission to talk to other clubs, but that his manager had told him that clubs had written to him saying they wanted to talk to him after June 30. So there's one you can dismiss right off the bat.

Your quite quick to offload Stapleton who has easily been our most consistent forward aside from Hindmarsh all year. It owuldn't free up a few hundred k's either cos Stapleton was signed for about $50k and I don't think Hoppy would have been earning much more. Hoppy hasn't had a great year like last but I would keep him for his utility value alone.

Well if they are only on 50k they are worth keeping around as backups incase of injury. When i wrote that i was considering the fact that we will have a fit players in Hindy, Cayless, Cannings, Tsolous, Afamsaga, Wagon, Riddell and possibly Morrison who will all be gunning for spots in the 17. I agree though that yes Stapelton has been good this year...but would we keep Stapelton and the expense of signing Morrison or Gallen??

well I saw report that he HAS been given permission to negotiate a contract with other clubs as long as he goes back to the Cowboys with a last right of reply.

Considering that Stapleton can play prop or second row and his form from this year I think the club would definitely sign him and still be able to sign Gallen or Morrison.

Hopefully we keep Thorman. He is a great option at half. His defence is very good and he runs to the line. Watch some premier league games and you will see what I mean.

I hope this is true.

Meh.

I hope this ISN'T true. Why sign Orford for so much money and lose Dykesy who has been in good form?

Centre for another Nrl club will come to us but cannot get a name- P Graham is my guess but my source cannot tell me as Smithy is doing all the work and tryng to get him a release-so it is a player under contract for next year.

Sounds good.

mickdo you're a bit behind the times buddy, that was 2 weeks ago, he has since been given permission to negotiate prior to June 30. There was a big write up about it last weekend in the Sydney papers.

I agree, every club needs a Stapleton. Reliable & very effective. The unsung hero if you like. If it comes down to a choice between Hoppo & Stapo I think you'll find the club will go with Stapo because he's really a prop and we seem to be more in the market for back rowers (Robinson, Pritchard, Gallen, Morrison) not props.

With Pearson retiring, Peek & Kaufusi off contract and unlikely to be re-signed we're looking a little skinny for depth in the prop department if we lose Stapo too.
