finally went to a game and they won :) so happy

sitting amongst you lot was such fun, my kids loved it as well. took my father in law with us (he is pushing 70) and loved it as well he thought the songs were a crack up (way past his bed time he is usually in bed by 8pm lol)

Just one thought thou did anyone think it was a bit slack of the boys not coming over to acknowledge us fans :(

Yes I did think it was slack that the boys didn't come over. I don't know what the reason for this was so I will reserve judgement as to whether it was the players fault or not. I will say though that I think it's a good idea for the management to point out where the supporters bay is and encourage the players to go there and thank the fans after any game.

Our supporters were fantastic tonight. A big thanks to the many fans who were united in chiming in on the chants and songs. It was one of the best atmosheres by a Swarm of Eels fans I have seen all year.

Attended last nights game with Mrs Fathead and Fathead junior (13 years of age- and a MASSIVE parra fan)
Went down to the dressing room straight after the game to catch up with a few friends and so that the boy could get the players signatures and some photos. (and the misses could catch a perve at the players walking around with just towels on (Justin Poore- you big unit.. put some clothes on !)

Had a word with all the players and Paul Osbourne (except KK - just ran out of time)

Couple of things -
MORTS - Must be a tough bugger because he is as big as my 13 year old. I could push him over with a small push, so I have to give him credit for what he does. .. not A halfback though!
HORO- I asked him if he had resigned for next year and he said he hadnt but was hoping to sort it out soon... He is a big unit.
LASALO- Was as happy as a school boy to get there, he had a great game.
ANT MITCHELL - Talking of school boys, I said to Anthony - Its about time they gave you a bloody run and he said "Yeah, and I want to stay in the side" He was as happy as a high school student on a first date. Ando wake up!
MANNAH - Timmy was king of the kids - like the big kid he is
OZZY - Must have had a lot on his mind. This is the first time that I have ever met Ozzy and really he just blew us off. Thats OK, we are no one important but didnt impress me one bit.
FELETI - Ive met Feleti a couple of times but I always forget what a big unit he is. Hell I would hate to be an opposing 5/8 looking at him.. Hear that Ando .. 5/8 - Ah forget it...
TAHU - Had a good chat with Timana as he was at the back of the room with his tracksuit on, looking decidely apart from the others as a group.. Misses reckons that the other players were avoiding him.. dont know about that. Anyway I asked how his ankle was and he said that it was worse than ever and is not getting better. He said he hurt it early in the year but its not responding. He said it was a week to week proposition. Dont be surprised if we dont see Timana back on the paddock this year. (I can see tommorrows headlines in the telegraph - Timana out for the year! )
Hayne was his usual kind self. He was patient when my boy wanted to hold him as if some magic would rub off !

Lastly can I say how good it was to catch up with Luke Burt again.

I've met a lot of footballers in my time but Luke Burt is really up there. He is an absolute gentlemen. Luke always comes up to the misses and I and shakes our hands and says that hes pleased to see us. I absolutely love the bloke.

All in all a great night.

Popped into the Broncos tunnel as well very quickly and their main talking point was that they were robbed by the refs !!

Thanks to Cat for arrangements. Great to catch up again and will talk to you soon.

Have to agree with your missus there. You would think, coming into a new club that had such an arrogant prick before you, you would make some sort of effort with the fans. I dont want him to know us all on a first name basis, but, if you walk past a person wearing Parra gear, then as a CEO we are the second most important people in your world.. Well, maybe 3rd behind the sponsors. A nod and smile speaks volumes! JMO (which I know will probably be shot down.. and I know by who ;-))
