i'm with u stiff, they're definitely a front runner im my rose coloured eyes. what i think is the best facet of the eels game atm is their patience and composure, especially in games against the top teams. That has to be an essential quality come finals time. they havent looked pressured at all, or and even appeard to be pushing to hard in recent weeks.
noone can doubt their try scoring ability, and lately their defence has been fantastic. combine all that with the ability to control a game that they'd have to be a shot against any team.
most weeks there's a period in the second half where they dont try anything spectacular. simple one out hitups, even an average kick down the throat of the winger/fullback but they still maintain the dominance with great kick chase and solid defence. dictating terms to the opposion without trying to hard.
its just great to watch.
and what makes it even all the more sweeter is having a few poor recent seasons. you definitely need the bad times to appreciate the good times.
