Parramatta buy of the year

The 2004 Parramatta buy of the year is Wade McKinnon who played with Souths. And obviously is because he really stepped up at fullback, really dangerous, tried his best week in week out, he was a goer. Most of us thought we lost a great fullback in Hodgson, but McKinnon has done really well to fill those shoes. A great fullback, he's definatley in the top 5 in the NRL, and is Parramatta's buy of the year this season:

1. Wade McKinnon
2. Craig Stapleton
3. Eric Grothe

2003
1. Lee Hopkins
2. John Morris
3. Shayne Dunley

2002
1. Dean Widders
2. Daniel Heckenberg
3. Matt Petersen

2001
1. Brad Drew
2. Jason Taylor
3. David Solomona

Now its time to predict to the 2005 buy of the year, and it'll be an interesting one cause Parramatta's bought some good quality players in Morrison, Riddell, Tahu, Stringer, Marsh, Robinson, Perenara. But i reckon players like Morrison, Riddell, Tahu and Stringer will certainly make a difference to the Parramatta side next year. As well as Marsh who I reckon would be good in the halves. It's gonna be interesting. Looking forward to next year.

Split decision with Morro or Riddell. Can't wait to see them run out in the blue and gold.

I look at it this way:
If Tahu is a buy of the year we will probably score a lot of points.
On the other hand if Morro is our buy of the year we shouldn't have conceded a lot of points.
So I'll say it will be be a split decision between Morro and Tahu meaning we should win a lot of games :D

I feel that Riddell and Morro will be buys of the season.

Peranara and Robo to be dark hoses

But!! would dearly love to see Marsh and Tahu turn it on and make our backline as potent as 01!!...the big boys will look after themselves ;-)

Isn't it funny!!

I would love to see this thread from last year and see how many people predicted McKinnon as their pick for best buy!!

Not many if any!!

My pick this year would be PJ Marsh but my smokey will be Paul Stringer, but I also think you are going to see big seasons from guys we didn't see much of last year like; Cayless, Cannings, Odwyer & Graham

I doubted myself until I saw how different he was in prems. He is class now. All he needs to do is work on the high ball and he will be sweet.

i am excited about Riddell. the creativity and power that he brings...as well as a passion for the game. i reckon he would be a great bloke to have on your team and can't wait to see him doing it for the eels.

i agree,

I think him and Morro bring a new level of enthusiasm in the team, they're not bad players either.

Massive fan of Tahu, Riddell, Morrison and Marsh.

But in my opinion, the buy of the year will be The Chad.

I just have a feeling that the 'lower profile' player will step up.

Chad is definetly the bloke you want in the trenchs with you when the going gets tough, a true team player

I'm lead to believe we beat Cronulla for his services which basically meant Cronulla got to keep Paul Gallen, I think we won that battle :D

His just so underated. Excellent defender who always tries hard. Not many ppl were angered by his departure but his always been a favourite.
