Hard to imagine the RTBU and any other associated unions contributing to these ongoing disruptions are garnering much sympathy from anyone out there in the public transport catching public or beyond. I don't begrudge frontline medical staff and police getting a bump. They provide an extremely important service. In the case of many nursing staff, they have studied for years to get the quals, police routinely put their lives at risk for the greater good.... Train drivers and ticket inspectors not so much.... An 8 week crash course on how to do a job that is now proven can be done autonomously isn't grounds for demanding such exorbitant pay increases IMO. This is obviously a fairly simplistic summary of the situation but on overall balance I think it's a fair one...Sydney Trains copping it on social media today for the industrial action and deservedly so.
Warnes sounds like a compete muppet and is a downright disgrace really over this whole schmozzle
That's crazy. At least I could get a bendy bus to the city without a drama. Peeps in Parramatta are f**ked.

There asking for a 32% payrise to do less work.Hard to imagine the RTBU and any other associated unions contributing to these ongoing disruptions are garnering much sympathy from anyone out there in the public transport catching public or beyond. Not only that, but an increase in Super and over 200 other claims (which I have linked before). There asking for a 32% payrise to do less work.
As someone said on the radio today its a piss take what these clowns are wanting & demanding compared to actual reality.
