I found this an interesting comment, speaking to a club official, I asked why iour U20s were so poor given the junior reps and successes in the age comps.

The answer or reason, was suggested that since Crusher left we have not recruited the "best" players into our system , and have signed good one who in reality have not helped. The names mentioned that we got on board, were Lyon, Witt and a couple of others, but since then and particularly under Reddy, nothing to improve what we have.

Then said that the Roosters and Tigers, go for size and pay what is necessary to get these players into their club, and we can see the results,

I know from being in the juniors, there is work now being done to correct it, but it was given as a reason. Even though there are some on here that won't agree, both Hagan and DA were mentioned as showing no interest in what went on outside the top 25. That is why Reddy was persisted with over that time I believe

Is going to take a few years to get it all turned around and it also very hard to recruit juniors when the firsts aren't going so well or proof of a clear path to first grade.

Once again this year they keep chopping and changing the team around. The reason that this team went so bad last year was because of it and they haven't learnt the lesson. Pick a team and give them time to work out combinations.

I also believe one of Parra's problems is Nolan and other's fasination with islanders (they overlook so many talented anglo footballers due to this). One of the centres named this weekend can't tackle but it doesn't seem to matter.
