So it looks like we lost the HM grand final to Manly going by the latest news below. Bugger. Good year overall though.
Sucks that we have now lost 2 junior grand finals to Manly in the last 2 years when leading in the final minutes

It definitely sucks. But we've got to remember that these grades are to develop first grade players. I believe we have more potential first graders today than manly. They seem to be doing what we did 10 years ago, find the biggest kids and put them in the team.

Just so your aware last years game wasn't a grand final. So we only lost this years GF to Manly.

I thought the game changed when our fullback Josh Tuipulotu took that amazing ball in the air & was stretchered off. Has anyone herd if he is ok.?
We looked the better team when using the ball out through our backline.
Today we were totally dominated through the middle & the big Manly props.
There was a time we started to win the middle as Manly's big boys were tiering & we got a roll on & looked great.
But through interchange Manly won the middle back.
We still had a few opportunities to win the game & close it out but we made some poor decisions which eventually came back to bite us on the arse.
I thought there were a few controversial calls, One being our hooker scoring but was told he was held up. And the other being manly's try he grounded the ball on a players leg & took the ball dead with out it being grounded.
It was a great effort bye the boys & everyone involved should be proud of a successful year.

Congratulations to our fullback who was named player of the year in the Harold Matthews cup competition for 2018 Joshua Tuipulotu

RLF, was advised that Josh Tuipoluto has a fractured fibia as a result of that collision, not concussion as first thought by spectators.
The Manly team was basically recruited as monsters from Penrith and Parramatta, Doonside, Greystanes and Eaglevale players were the majority, the mouthing off at a smaller more skilful team was nasty.

Wow the poor kid. What an amazing talent he is. The way he landed i thought it was a hip or knee.
I thought Caleb Tohi the Parramatta lock was outstanding.

Tohi was easily our best forward and I thought the entire backline was outstanding. The winger Komalafe reminded me a lot of Radradara.

Komolafe has been outstanding all year. He rucks the ball out well, often charges right up the guts and breaks tackles, he's great in the air both in attack and defence and seems to know when to put the foot down and when to cut back in field. Hopefully he gets picked for NSW u/16's as he definitely deserves it.

Im sure other guys in the know can elaborate a little more than myself, But iv herd he is off to the Gold Coast.!
Iv got no doubt Luke Burt was the key instigator here.
Can anyone confirm this.?

Without naming names iv also herd the Gold Coast are chasing another Jersey Flegg player & already had informal talks.

Gee....Shame
I like young Noel so hope we develop him.

Again its only rumours iv herd, Hence why i asked if anyone else can confirm this.!

Noel is a great center improving every year, Big, Strong kid with great foot work & skill.
I did notice though, As he is getting bigger his loosing some speed over longer distances

Times I seen he just had nicer feet then his older brother who looked ore like a Lavaka style clone to me.

This is why there needs to be a total separation between NRL and the lower grades/juniors. This basically means you have guys like Bellamy directing the youth teaching them to wrestle, decoy, complete, bore the pants off the fans.

At best I would make HM & SG ball a 3 week comp with 4 groups of 4, a semi and a GF. The rest of the time these kids should be playing for their local clubs and school.

There would still be some form of elite training program that clubs would sign players to and train them the way they want.

Unless you're suggesting a draft be introduced but let's not start on that.
