his profile on https://blackhawkstsv.com.au/football/mal-meninga-cup/under-18s-player-profiles/ has him listed at 185cm and 100kgs. Not bad for an 18 year old prop.
I like that this Diment kid distinguishes between the two. Shows that we're finally getting a bit of merkin about us.
He doesn’t turn 17 till September, the recruitment team believes he will develop and pleased to sign him. Cooper Diment is 15. Junior recruitment is moving well , several Qld age rep players have been signed too.
In some of the hit ups he looks like an islander while in others he doesnt, almost looks red headed. It is confussing.
What’s the eligibility criteria for U20s ? Found this from 2012. Don’t know if it’s still relevant. All players selected have played in the Toyota Cup, while the GIO NSW team includes six players with NRL experience – Cheyse Blair (Eels), Jacob Miller (Wests Tigers), Harry Siejka (Panthers), Matt Groat (Wests Tigers), Boyd Cordner (Roosters) and Alex McKinnon (Knights). https://www.thegh.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22662
To be honest i have no idea regarding the criteria. Previous years players have played NRL and still been selected. Last year i believe there were 5 players with NRL experience selected. Our 20s team is not traveling well so we were not expecting to many if any at all to be selected. But majority of the boys selected are playing NSw Cup and some have NRL experience. But there are a few boys not selected which i was surprised about. J. Salmon (NRL) Parra 20 this year P. Hass (But playing senior origin) Bronc 20 this year B. Xerri (NRL) Sharks 19 this year S.
