Any of these kids you think might transition easily into Flegg?
Like Pou said Gazza I think the vast majority of this side could make the transition to Flegg - If you’re talking immediately after Ball finishes then Funa-Iuta, Farrugia, Talatainia, Popo obviously spring to mind.
Then you have first year players in Fletcher, Talagi, Coinakis, Petrus, Bamblett, Howlett, Johansson, Rokosuka who could all just as easily step up if required - It’s a pretty good problem to have lol
I’d like to see both halves accelerated into Flegg not only because they’ve both been outstanding this season and deserve it but obviously with the outcome of Brown leaving we need to be getting a look at these kids in higher grades ASAP.

Fletcher you almost have to play immediately in Flegg. From an attacking perspective having a half so young being able to play both sides of the ruck is impressive. He's equally at home playing first or second receiver and on the sweep. Let's hope we don't play him in SG Ball again next year as this kid could be good enough to play reserve grade.

I agree OA I think the only question mark over Fletcher at this point is that he’s still quite slight and may need to fill out a bit to handle week to week open age football. Having said that he’s shown to be deceptively strong in defence so far in SG Ball. I want to be cautious but from what I’ve seen I think he has the biggest ceiling out of any player in our current junior ranks bar maybe Polley.

Bamblett has been quietly impressive this year, was very good at 5/8 early in the season, sustained an injury and when he came back to play fullback he again stood out. A player to watch and bring through, good size and above average speed
I echo Delboy’s sentiment - Bamblett has been impressive in his 2 games back and looks to have great elusiveness & touch. I think Fullbacks his home too rather than 5/8th.

With his contract, 3 years I believe, you'd think that would involve an NRL pre-season coming up which is where you see kids making their biggest jump in terms of their size. He's got some tough competition but for mine he should be the #7 in the NSW under 19s this year.

Unfortunately for Polley he's currently at a level that favours size rather than skill and technique. His work in the middle earlier this year he was playing like an NRL lock rather than a Harold Matthews lock. He just looks a professional on the field too.

Fingers crossed the dopes in the Football department have more than a pre season in store for him imo he should be on a Dev contract by maybe next year, definitely 2027.
I agree he’d be right up there for NSW 7 & Talatainia should be first picked in 6.
I really, really rate Polley as a modern middle forward prospect in the mould of a Cameron Murray type. He’s shown deft ball playing ability too and as you said just screams the professionalism needed to progress to first grade. Fingers crossed they can reach those heights ( And we can keep them lol )

Any player that leaves costs nothing. Not having a PO doesn't change that.
