It doesn't add up. The NRL coach would have f**k all to do with the junior rep teams other than observing to make recommendations on potential NRL players. But there is already an entire staff to do that job.

They have done a ripper job btw cant take anything away from them.

Cini/Lumelume/Mulitalo/Harper/Tago/Luke/Keir have come through our junior system and are on the verge of first grade.

I think that reflects our mismanagement of the juniors during covid. We are currently exposed with a cavernous lack of NRL ready junior depth right now, compared to other teams.

Bar W.Penisini who is a good player the others haven't proven anything. Russel is NSW CUP level. Matalele probably won't make it.
Talagi is a prospect as is Guymer but what level? MA might be the pick but is physically disadvantaged.

Its about quality. When was the last time we produced an ORIGIN player? Matterson had 1 game and come through close to 10yrs ago now. Do we go back to Hayne?
Penrith have in 7yrs produced Luai,Burton,Too,Edwards,Yeo,Martin,Crighton, Hopgood,Cleary.

We barely producing NRL players let alone rep level quality.
