Parramatta powerbrokers are exploring their legal options after Ray Hadley's latest attack. The broadcaster has been a vocal critic of the club's administration ever since long-serving chief executive Denis Fitzgerald was ousted at the ballot box in 2009. Hadley took aim at the Eels on The Footy Show on Thursday. ''We're having a look at Mr Hadley's comments very closely,'' said a senior lawyer at Middletons, Bryan Belling. ''He seems to be demonstrating malicious intent. A decision is yet to be taken. What he said on Channel Nine says something about his state of mind. Mr Hadley has been going off, in relation to the board of the club, ever since they've been elected. The directors have given him some latitude but his more recent [attacks] on the board have been quite serious.''

#1 - I can't stand Hadley and I am totally amazed that 9 have taken him back onboard and shafted someone like Voss (who has his annoying moments but is far better and less biased) ... hadley is a self absorbed arsehole of the biggest kid

and, I also agree with what murraymob said above - the appointment of Ray to mentor a pack of kids seems absolutely baffling to me - seems like a massive publicity stunt of some sort or maybe a favour for helping the current board get to power??? - just my opinion and i'm sure i'll get called a deathrider or some such shit, but it just seems dumb to me - if he was to come in and occaisionally talk to the big boys then I'd think it more logical

I didn't think most of his comments were out of line at all. Ray Price is indeed a legend of the game and should be respected as such. However he is not the right person to put into a mentor position with kids. His basketcase comments were a bit off but Parras new strategy of bringing in old coaches to help Kearney is pretty weird. Just sack him he is shite and as a Cronulla fan I can personally tell you all that Chris Anderson will DEFINITELY not help your club.

His words to the young woman wearing the Parra jersey in the crowd were WAY out of line however. Any supporter should be able to show their teams colours with pride and good on the girl for supporting Parra through this very difficult year.

you're kidding aren't you? you're comparing to what Melbourne copped to what is happening to us right now, mate, we never broke the sallary cap by a million we also haven't been involved with any off field incident, our biggest problem is our form on the field not off it, this maggot has had it in for us since his mate left the club and wouldn't matter if we were leading the comp by a million he would still find a way to publicaly bag us, the the sort of comments I've heard from him recently is that "we get what we deserve" and "they are a disgrace to the league" 'they should be kicked out of the comp" and apparently told a fellow supporter to take their jersey off on the footy show...

our club had done just as much if not more for the community than any other club in the league, we continue our hard work helping kids from Ronald McDonald house and the Northcott society, we ran what was one of the best 'women in league' functions and have been accesible to the media as a whole...not even Melbourne has copped it like we have and we've not broke the rules.

The agenda is in your head.

The criticism of Melbourne was malicious. At no time did they threaten to gag a commentator with threats of legal action. You have got to be joking when you whinge that "not even Melbourne has copped it like we have" - this is exactly the sort of soft attitude that has pervaded the Eels club. Blame someone else, accuse people that criticise as deathriders or invent "hidden agendas" all the while accepting on field mediocrity and making excuse after excuse.
