Sure is unremarkable.

She's wrong when she says a hotel for football teams is set to become the gateway to the park.
This area hasn't been a gateway for decades.
The real gateway is pictured below. There are several others.
(That is not Crap Suzette in the pic).

Hopefully, she and her cohorts are dusted off to the bin just like the Friends of Parramatta Pool were.
I'm sure her views on the pool being built in a section of Parramatta Park (albeit separated by the western railway line) are the same.

Looks suspiciously like an apartment development from the pictures.

I wonder who ends up owning that.

Absolutely it does. Pork barreling at its finest.

Look at some of the renders (pictures) in the following article from Panthers. Half way down the article, there are two pictures of the same building. One says it is the conference centre, and the other says it is the community centre. Both are the same building, with different windows/external finishes.
This is a hurriedly rushed piece of bribery before both state and federal elections.
Politicians really suck. Particularly Stuart Ayres.

So the government is forking out half of the cost , for what seemingly amounts to a private, for profit, development, with a "community centre" tacked onto it to justify the investment.

Sounds legit.

CURTAINS GO UP

Parramatta fans will get a whole lot more than just the magnificent new facilities when the new 30,000-seat Bankwest Stadium opens in April.

The Eels have made a commitment to staging curtain raisers for most home games in 2019, including feeder club Wentworthville in the Intrust Super Cup and the club’s Jersey Flegg side.

Fans will also be allowed onto the ground at full-time after most games, including the Easter Monday opening game against the Wests Tigers.

FANS’ STADIUM SNEAK PEAK

The four footy clubs who will play home games at Western Sydney stadium this year will be part of a community open day on April 14 that will give fans their first look at the new venue.

NRL clubs the Parramatta Eels and Wests Tigers, the Western Sydney Wanderers and the NSW Waratahs will all have club reps and ambassadors at Bankwest Stadium when more than 30,000 fans will stream through the gates to check out the facility for the first time.

It promises to be a big day for Eels members. They get to check out the view from their new seats eight days ahead of the Easter Monday blockbuster against the Tigers.

Tickets to the open day are free but need to be booked via Ticketek from 1pm Wednesday.

Guys I hate to say it but I don’t think the stadium will be ready for round 1
But, but, the guys from Stowe said it will....
Brother in law said practical completion is now expected end of March with testing beginning of April after a few issues arose.
Will definitely be tight, they should get it over the line but I think rough workmanship just to get it over the line.

I'm not surprised.
I went down on Friday to have a look. It's amazing how much work still needs to be done. I was shocked at how many workers, machinery and what not were on site. No doubt, it is under the pump to get finished and tested and approved.
It's not a good way to go about it without test events. Sure, there's an open day for fans, but for a stadium of this magnitude, It would have been wise to have it ready and test it with a small event. Allow 5000 fans in to watch a small event (RL OR FOOTBALL) and see how it works.
This type of last minute rushed approach could spell PR disaster for the govt. The shite media in this state will be all over any failing. Which disappoints me.
