gee, that was quick

Yep.
This project is flying along.
It is going to be amazing that in less than two years time, this Museum will be complete, trams will be running up and down Church street within 12 months, and there is going to be another 4 x 150/200 metre towers in Parra.
The Riverside Theatre is also getting a massive makeover soon.
Not only will Parra be a great sporting destination, but also a foodie and Arts destination.
And, that is all even before the currently under construction Metro is completed.
Parra is going gangbusters.

You are kidding me, $10m to rebuild an old building? Sure it was a nice building but hardly a must remain at all cost type. It was occupying a space that was way to advantageous and expensive for it to survive there. So it made way for and replaced with a much more appreciated and when completed visited building by millions not a few thousand a year if lucky.

But to spend $10m to recreate a faux version of it somewhere, not to mention how many millions it must have cost to dismantle it in the first place is ridiculous. Think of all the hospitals and schools that could use that sort of money. Will you not think of the children?

So you’re not a fan of historic homes ? Well it’s a good thing that the adults are in charge.

Thanks for putting words in my mouth champ.

It's called cost, benefit analysis.

In my opinion, keep it all in storage and wait till we have free energy(or close to) and AI robots, then rebuild it on the moon for all I care.

But for now it is way to expensive and a luxury we can't afford compared to what that $10m can be used for in other areas of society. And you reckon you lefty liberals are the loving and caring of society. Only when it suits you.

I on the other hand(neither liberal or conservative) make judgement calls on merit and what is going to get maximum use. Don't interpret that to mean I will tear down all historical buildings. That one just was in the way of progress and a site that could and will be much better used. No need to cry about it, it hasn't been lost forever if we are smart about it.

Just keep the elements in storage for when it can be reconstructed more efficiently and if we don't annihilate ourselves in the meantime believe me the day will eventually come when it can be resurrected at a reasonable cost.

Oh P.S. in this case the adults are in charge, that's why they tore it down.
