Haven't been there.
I don't actually eat fish. Had a burger from FF though and it was good. I usually would go to Booth St Bakery. They have great pies and Banh Mi sandwiches.

I worked on Johnston St for 11 years and apart from maybe 10 times, I never had a problem finding parking on the street. All day parking as well. Around the small shopping villiage is tricky, but you only need to go 50-100m down the road and walk up.

Some absolutely beautiful houses in Annandale. I've been in a lot of them and some are just spectacular. Big blocks of land with beautiful old houses.

But have you seen the 3 witches houses? Amazing.
Yeah I'd always park near the shops and its painfull
Burgers are very good yes. I mean so is the fish but its a bit fancy. I prefer old school.

Are you going to go to the new fish markets when they open, and if you do, how will you get there?

Id deff check it out.
It is to far for me to walk. Unsure how public transport would be. Drive or Uber.
Can you get to the L1 Light Rail somehow? Starts at Dulwich Hill.
There's a stop on the way into the city called "Fish Markets".
Would take you straight there.

Good idea. Summer Hill or Dulwich hill light rail is less then a 5min drive. That would be the easiest. I didn't think of that

Do you mean those huge castle-looking things further down Johnston St towards The Crescent?

If so, I’ve been in one of them. It’s a weird place. So many rooms and most of them not very big. When they built that place they didn’t believe in open plan living, that’s for sure.

The design and complexity of this roof is a wonder to behold.
The building will be a tourist drawcard by itself.

It certainly looks the goods. I hope they have the functionality sorted for the expected increase in visitor numbers. One of the worst things about the old markets is/was the f**king seagulls flogging your fish and chips.

I'm not sure what they can do to stop all the Johnathan Livingston's?
The current place is a single level shed.
This new joint is the size of 2 football fields long and 3 stories high. With several levels of under the harbour parking.
Yes, it will be a shite fight at times but its a massive improvement on what we currently have.

Sure enough. I look forward to visiting or hearing from other experiences posted on here.
